Great stamp and great location. And luckily for me, I had a helper along to walk the last 10 feet through the muck to get the box.

I can definitely see why this letterbox has earned a purple diamond! Great location, spot on clues and a perfect 'representative' stamp. Glad we were able to find this at the 2016 Box-ON event. :) Thanks!

The log this stamp is hidden under has disintegrated to a pile of bark. The stamp is well hidden under a pile of bark.

This was a fun box to search for! Great stamp

Construction made it difficult to get to the box. Great carved stamp!

Our very first true Letterbox find! We've been to this location many times, as it's only a few kms from home and one of our favourite local parks. this evening we specifically came to locate this letterbox. We were concerned that the box was lost, as there is massive construction happening in the wooded area behind the monument. But we were able to find the box. What an incredible large stamp! We have a designed sketched out for our personal stamp, but haven't carved it yet, so instead we used a number of purchased stamps, very carefully stamped but the youngest member of the family. we saw the "surprise" left by the last finder but left it since we are still new to this and have much to learn. Thanks Gwynlais for the great first find!
