I did my own (informal) poll and the results were quite striking:

If someone would kindly point out where this poll is located, I think we would all greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

Colorado is making a strong push to host LBXXV. Whomever does win out, you may want to consider renting Open Space to help with the details! So talk to your peeps and see if you have a group willing to take on this challenge.
Here is the latest poll results.....
Michigan - 76
Colorado - 71
Ohio - 53
Virginia - 40
Rhode Island - 23
Canada - 11
Alaska - 0
Texas - Retired

Well that practically accounts for all the letterboxers in Canada except myself since I don't know where to vote.
(BTW we have these things we call provinces - and territories too - might help to refine things a bit. Suggests to me that the 11 people that voted were not from Canada)
Anyway, since "we" are so far back in the poll, no hope of seeing L&B in Canada in 5 years from now, so here's hoping it will be in Michigan which just happens to be right next door to Canada (I suppose Ohio is as well but it's way across that one lake)

Why would 23 people vote for Rhode Island? We can't physically fit the 300 attendees into the state!

First, you have to register to vote. Don't worry, it's a simple form to fill out that asks you stuff like your name, address, place of birth, mother's maiden name, income and a two-page essay about what makes Live and Breath so special.
Before election day, a ballot will be mailed. This is a vote by mail thing. It's wonderful. No long lines at polling stations and is less costly to run and leaves an auditable paper trail critical to a well-functioning democracy.
You'll be expected to return it (make sure there's sufficient postage) with five samples of LTCs. Your vote counts double if there's a twenty included.

There you have it from Green Tortuga, so get your money in if you want us to change the results! We are tabulating all the mail in ballots and should have the results on Monday. We did get some from Mexico, but those were thrown away. Canada....wow, sold out and transferred all votes to Michigan.
Rhode Island has moved into second Place!
More to come!!

I've only planned and listed my events into 2021 so far. So if Rhode Island wins, I guess I can host.
If it doesn't win, I'll host a pity party anyway!

Bon Echo only sold himself out to Michigan. I want to throw all our votes to Niagara Falls and we can do both sides of the border at once. The boxes might be a little wet.

I'd like to cast my vote:
2 votes for Colorado
3 votes for Michigan
4 votes for Rhode Island (I'm sure CT would help)
11 votes for all of the great Maine event people to lead the charge - after LLBean, L&B will be nothing for that group.
14 votes to just use 2023 Grateful Letterboxing event as L&B XXV
(wouldn't even need to add any new boxes - all of the boxes from all of the grateful years would do it - might give me a chance to catch up.....)

Very interesting how you Letterboxers find ways to vote, then vote multiple times!!! I like the enthusiasm.....though illegal.
Today is the the final day, so post your vote in the poll and lets see who the lame duck winner is.

I'll vote:
Colorado is first choice
Ohio second
Michigan is on there as I'd like to visit the coast
New England or Alaska would be a lot harder to get to, so those are maybes, as they are on my bucket list.

WOW, what a finish. Lots of last minute brides.....we mean votes. It is official. Looks like a 3 way tie.
Colorado, Ohio and Michigan
So up to y'all to fight it out and put your best case forward on who should host LBXXV. We have done our part, but will be there wherever it is to enjoy. Good luck. Vacation time!!!

Didn't you get the super secret memo that Virginia was disqualified for lack of any letterboxers in the state.

Following a tip from The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, I learned of a Virginia letterboxer who has planted in the tradition of James Madison and J.E.B. Stuart, in the time of the Mid-Summer Solstice, and in the area of the 9/11 Memorial - Imagine! She has fearlessly confronted Angry Rednecks Against Litter. I met her myself in Texas, and recently there has been Another Sighting in Spotsylvania.
Her credentials include 1,136 plants, 5,821 finds, four purple diamonds, and 18 events hosted. I do believe she meets, and dare I say, exceeds the qualifications to host Live & Breathe XXV.
