Jun 21, 2012: Early Notes
You may note that this year's event will be Christmas Boxes. This is a bit different from last year's Christmas Boxers, but creativity is still highly encouraged, so there will be a cool prize for the person best dressed to match the name of the event. As an added note, the carves this year will revolve around Christmas music.

We had such positive feedback last year and were happy to hear that people enjoyed their teams and even made some new boxing friends! We will be doing the scavenger hunt in teams again this year, so look forward to more fun and friendships.

That is all for now...after all, we do have almost six months to go!

Oct 31, 2012: A Month or So to Go!
Sign-ups are looking great for this year's Christmas Boxes event, and we are going to be spending the next few weeks working on the details. If you want to donate a box, please let us know ASAP! Otherwise, simply plan for a day of fun and frolicking. Hehe. More soon....

Nov 15, 2012: Food
Lunch is still not firmed up because people and telephones are not seeming to go well together. No worries, though! We will have lunch somewhere, and it will be inexpensive.

The Christmas Boxes plants will be picked up starting at 4:00 PM.

Dinner will be at 5:00 PM at Chick-fil-A Mooresville. There we will also have giveaways, raffles, the costume contest, stamp adoptions, etc. After dinner, people are welcome to continue boxing in the area since there are PLENTY of boxes...or you may go on your MERRY way. Hehe.

Nov 26, 2012: It is THIS weekend!
Are you ready? Is your costume planned? Are you looking forward to the fun? Do you think that your team will be able to find all of the boxes? Here are some more details....

We will start meeting at 9:30 AM, and we will START boxing at 10:00 AM. Where we will meet is not yet determined. When I head downtown to plot, I will decide on a specific location. It will be a municipal parking lot like last year...just not sure which one.

LUNCH will be at 12:30 at Trackside Restaurant. Now before all of you NASCAR fans go thinking otherwise, this place is neat the train tracks. Hehe. The owner was very friendly, the prices are reasonable, and they are happy to accommodate our group of about fifty people.

Back to boxing and merriment.

DINNER will be at 5:15 at Chick-fil-A Mooresville, which is at 457 River Highway Mooresville, NC 28117 (right off of I-77 at exit 36. There we will have final exchanges, giveaways, prizes, and whatever else occurs. Be sure to wear your costume into the restaurant!

We have a series of eight that is supposed to be showing up this week. If it does, then we will plant it and give out the clues at Chick-fil-A.

More information will be shared when we have it!

Nov 27, 2012: Meeting Place
We will meet in the parking lot off of S Church Street, which runs parallel to Main Street in Mooresville the the east side. We will be behind Wells Fargo in either a green F-250 or a black Ford Flex.

Nov 30, 2012: It's the Final Countdown
The Final Countdown! 80s hair was great.

If you want to grab some coffee in the morning, you can visit HEbrews Coffeehouse at 177 N Main Street or Richard's Coffee Shop at 165 N Main Street.

We will meet in the parking lot behind Wells Fargo and closest to Church Street starting at 9:30. We will form teams then. Recommended team size is four to six screen names. However, the more people on your team, the longer it will take you to stamp in, and the less time you will have to find more boxes. New people and those not coming with a group, no worries, as we will be sure to help you find new friends!

There are twenty-two boxes hidden around town. There will be two more at Trackside Restaurant (lunch at 12:30), and there will be A BUNCH more at Chick-fil-A (dinner at 5:15). Additionally, for anybody who sees me walking on Main Street, if you are willing to do what I ask, then I will give you the clue for another box that will be in the vicinity but not part of the hunt!

If anybody has a question or needs assistance the day of the event, you can phone Dawnmarie (D of RDHG) at 704/307-9502. Feel free to put that number someplace where you will not lose it right now so that you have it for the weekend.

A couple have asked, and if anybody else would like to join us for church Sunday morning, you are certainly welcome. Let the R, H, or me know, and we can give you the details.
