Description
With Christmas being one of our favorite times of the year, we are excited to celebrate with whomever wants to come out and play! We will start the day by meeting at the public parking area behind Main Street at E. Moore Avenue and S. Church Street at Mooresville, NC. From there we will split up into teams for a letterboxing race around downtown Mooresville. We will get started by 10:00 AM, so you may even want to arrive a bit earlier.Note that attendees are not required to participate in the race in order to letterbox at the event. We do not want anyone to feel pressured to do more than makes them comfortable. 8^)
Then we will meet at NOON for lunch at Pie in the Sky Pizza, which is not open for lunch on Saturdays but will be opening specifically for us! After the race will be other activities, games, giveaways, exchanges, and area boxing for those who want to do more hunting.
*We still have room for stamps of Christmas lights or a candlestick or a dove or bells. Please contact us if you would like to contribute a stamp or a letterbox. Thank you, thank you bunches!

Notes
We figured that it might be fun to let you know why this event is named Christmas Boxers -- beside the obvious. It is kind of a personal thing. You see, in our family, it has been a tradition for years that we gather at our home on Christmas Eve...AND everyone who joins us is expected to wear Christmas-themed boxer shorts! It is simply for fun and laughter and Holiday spirit, most people wear the boxers over some other clothing, and it is certainly a conversation starter. We say "most" people because there was that one year that D's brother showed up in his military dress shoes and a trench coat....
TEAMS
We are going to be setting up teams for the scavenger hunt race, so be prepared to encourage your team to hustle!
TOOLS
Remember that colored markers and a compass will be needed! It could also be helpful if someone on your team has a smart phone with a QR code reader. Maybe.
If you see anybody who is not on the guest list who you think would enjoy the event, please invite them! We have people coming from Charlotte, Concord, and Lenoir who would be interested in carpooling. If you are in those areas and might like to share a ride, you can see who they are at the event page.
Let the countdown begin!
Dec 4, 2011: Christmas (Boxers) Greetings!
Greetings, All!
Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday and who made Christmas Boxers 2011 a super fun event. It got a little bit chaotic there in the end, but everybody seemed to have a good time and got some great finds.
As promised, I am sending you the links for the event finds.

R and H seemed to have a super fun time, and I only have one question to ask: Who wants to do this again next year?
Sunshines and smiles,
D of RDHG
PS I will be adding some photographs, too, so watch that boards for a note!
