Water St Studio, 126 Water St, Catskill, NY

Description

Unlike previous Winter Blahs events, this one is being held in December rather than in January. An attempt was made to host a 2-day even in January of this year but due to unfortunate circumstances it had to be cancelled. As the Event Stamp had already been carved, Mtn Girl and I decided that we still had time to host the event. Like previous Blahs, this will be a ONE day event. However, if you want to make a weekend of it and come up Friday night, we will be having dinner somewhere in the vicinity details to follow!

This is a Game of Thrones themed event and just in time for the final in 2019.

The address is for the Water Street Studio in Catskill, NY; this will be the base location with the stamps to be planted in one of the many hiking areas in the vicinity. Please note that this is in Catskill in Greene County, not The Catskills Park. Exit 21 on the NYS Thruway.

Food welcome of course, crackpots for sure!!

Dec 3, 2018: WINTER IS COMING
Hi Blahsketeers!

Wow, I haven't been on AQ in a loooooong time :)

I see we have a pretty low sign-up which is sad because these stamps rock like Tyrion Lannister in a brothel - although the good news is box seekers won't be on top of each other like the dead swarming the nights watch at the fist.

Weather is looking AWESOME for the event and we have a least 27 or so letterboxes all ready to plant.... This year we are using two park different locations.

There are other boxes in one of these parks so if your feeling especially adventurous look those up before you come all you have to do is check Catskill NY. One is a 3 Blind Mice series so I would recommend that if your feeling especially adventurous.

As always clues will only be given out on Day of Event but I will have them up on AQ after the event (like magic.. or like reserved boxes) so if you are really into your logging you will be able to do so right after the event.

All boxes are permanent plants with the exception of two which will be planted in the village and clues at the community center.

I think that's it for now - after the event, we will be heading to wrinkles which boasts the best hot chocolate in Catskill
