Description

We will being having a fun filled day of Astrological Fun at Rocky Ridge Park!!!! Zodiac symbols, Chinese New Year, Constellations and much more. We have special permission to plant for the day, but no permanent planting is permitted. Temporary plants are welcomed for the day, but must be removed at end of the event. We will be having a potluck lunch at 1pm. The pavilion does have electric, so hot foods can be plugged in. Have anything laying around the house that could be used for letterboxing??? Bring it along and contribute to the raffle.

Apr 2, 2018: Trails
Good Morning everyone!!! In prep for our event I walked all the trails yesterday. Hiking boots are definitely recommended. Some may want their walking sticks as well. The were some pretty soggy/swampy parts along the way and you will have at least 2 small springs/creeks to jump/cross over along your journey. Not sure what water will be around come June, but wanted you all to be prepared. We are super excited about this event and look forward to seeing you all in June!!!!

May 9, 2018: Event Update
Hello everybody!!! We are just a little over 5 weeks away from some Astrological Fun and we are busy planning a fun filled day for everyone!!! Current stamp count stands at 100+; which will be on trails, HIPS, fun finds and other creative finds we have planned. Bring along your colors because we like color; not just boring black!!! We will have a WOM board for those who would like to bring along a temporary plant or 2 for the day. Everyone will get 1 raffle ticket for attending and additional can be purchased. Lunch is going to be at 1pm. The pavilion does have electric. Please sign up on the potluck list for what you will be bringing so that others can plan their contribution. A week before the event we will post directions and pavilion location for when you arrive to the park. Bathrooms are just across the parking lot from our pavilion and are kept very clean. We look forward to seeing you all in June!!!!

Jun 8, 2018: Astrological Fun Event directions
Hi Everybody!!!! We are 9 days away from our event and we are ready!!!! Weather looks good for the day. We are expecting some rain and t-storms over the weekend this week, but dry after that. Boots are definitely recommended for on the trails. There are some soggy/wet spots. Don't forget your bug spray!!! We will be planting on Friday, 06/15 and boxes will go live late Friday night. All clues will be printed and available at the event. We are not able to get into the park until 8am, but if we are set up and ready - I could possibly be convinced to release clues earlier than 10am!!!! We will begin pulling trail stamps around 4-430pm and bring them back to the pavilion. We have the pavilion until 8pm so feel free to hang out as long as you would like.

DIRECTIONS: Deininger Road is off Mt Zion Rd. Once your have turned onto Deininger you will travel about 1 mile to the main entrance to the park. Continue straight passing under a light archway just before the road starts to curve back through the park. Watch for blue, purple and silver star balloons on the left - this is where you will turn to park. Park anywhere on the gravel lot behind the metal buildings. Follow the paved path on the far right straight back to our pavilion.

GOOD MORNING!!!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that at the main entrance there are silver and blues for a other party. They are not us. Go under the lighted arch and follow the road back into the park. Look for purple, blue and silver.
