Description
All the creepy, horrible things in life that bite, both literally and figuratively. Come prepared to face the worst. There will be around forty boxes on the trails in the park and it's Piggy's first event, so adjust your expectations accordingly :)Location: The pavilion at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park (13220 Yates Ford Rd, Clifton VA 20124). The address sometimes take people to our office not to the center where the pavilion is. The advice I give to people is to:
"Drive down Yates Ford past Paradise Springs Winery on the left and past a gravel driveway which is whichever maps app they are using may tell them to turn. Instead continue down to where the road looks like it is going to dead end and turn right between the yellow gates and follow that to the program parking lot."
There is no fee for parking, generally lots of parking, but it would be best if some people could carpool if possible just in case. Also, do not fear, there is a large bath house close to the pavilion that has toilets and sinks.
Food: There will be a potluck at noon. There can be outlets for crockpots. Piggy will provide tableware and likely some sort of main dish. The usual sort of picnic fare will be great. Please be aware, there is no grill at the pavilion.
There are currently two other cool series at Hemlock:

There are other cool boxes in and around Clifton as well.
Sep 8, 2017: Things that Bite!
Hello everyone!
Things that Bite is almost a week away. Please edit your sign-ups as necessary. We'll be on come hell or high water and with all these hurricanes, it could be a really crazy weekend! Hopefully we'll get the calm between the storms and have some good weather.
That being said, some of the trails might be quite muddy. You will also be fording a tiny little creek that might not be so tiny with all the rain. Please dress accordingly. I did my best not to make you go up any hills that were too steep or that would get too muddy and unsafe, but if you would feel better with boots or hiking sticks, definitely bring them.
:) So far, the main trails are planted and there are 34 stamps there. There will be two other trails, one with a series of 7, one with a series of 11. It should be a blast. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of you on the 16th!
Sep 11, 2017: One additional message :D
Hello! Tree Knocker let me know that her series, Little town of Clifton, has been posted. This is something you can do in the area as well. We all need more boxes in our life :D
