This was our very first attempt at letterboxing and unfortunately we did not find it. We enjoyed the short hike and were happy to go, I've lived in the area for many years and have never been there. As others have stated the climb is very steep and would not attempt this in the wintertime. I do believe that we followed the directions properly and found the spot but unfortunately after much digging around were unable to find the box.

What a wonderful trail! The view from the top is fantastic, and there are some very nice historical signs. However, I do NOT recommend trying to climb it in the winter--although the snow is mostly melted, the short trail is extremely steep and there is enough snow and ice to make it very difficult to get up (and even worse to get down--I actually sat down and slid down the steepest, snowiest bit).

We searched the tree as thoroughly as we could, but although there are plenty of rocks, there is no sign of a rock pile or a letterbox. We're pretty sure it's gone, though we'd still like to come back in the spring (when it will be a much less dangerous climb).

Great Clues. Cool park. We replaced your box today as the bottom was cracked and had a hole in it. Replaced Stamp bag as it was wet. Logbook was dry and intact.

Thought my kids were going to dive from the top, but what a view!! Thanks for taking me to a place I hadn't been in years.
