Reusing a stamp without inflating your carve/donation count?
Board: Suggestion Box

I have a couple carves that were used for events (sometimes multiple events) and later planted as traditional boxes (or more honestly, will *eventually* be planted as traditional boxes, instead of just sitting in my workspace). Some of them are my carves and some were donated to me. The issue is, when a stamp is linked to more than one AQ listing, it (falsely) increases the carve count (and sometimes also the donations count).
Is there a way to adjust those number?
Maybe a check-box while listing a new box, to say something like "Recycled stamp?" so that relisting it does not increase the carve count
As for donations total, that's a bit more complicated since the carver does not (usually) control the listing.
(admittedly it's not really that big of a deal).
Thanks

I have suggested before that we be able to list stamps carved. This would allow the carve count to be correct. Then a box or LTC would be able to list one or more stamps of which it is composed.

I have used the same stamp for multiple LTCs. In the case of one stamp I have used it for 3 or 4 different LTCs, but it shows up as four carves. I have at least two cards composed of at least five stamps each.

However, GT has said that this (see first paragraph) won't happen. I can live with that.

If you plant your stamp, you are getting credit for PLANTING it, not necessarily carving it. And you would have to go out and find a spot and write the clues, so you deserve that credit. IMHO. Just like you would get planting credit for planting someone else's stamp.

I just planted a stamp I used for a class because I don't need it anymore. I listed it as a different box because I polled people around me and they said they would want to FIND it again to experience the trail; they just might not stamp it in their book again.

Sometimes it seems like that's the point of reusing them.
