Friday.

so I landed safely from my trip to Italy at 4: 15 at SFO yesterday. Dbarr picked me up, we went to a hotel where I could shower and clean up while he ran my laundry, we had dinner and then he drop me back at the airport for my flight to Sydney Australia.

While doing the climb out of SFO we lost an engine, full fire breach wound up flying in circles for 2 hours to dump enough fuel to reland at SFO. The only flight they could get me on, is Weds. Which would get me into Sydney on Friday just in time to fly home on Saturday. Guess who's not going to Australia this week??

Sounds a bit like a lifesaver because every critter in Australia exists solely just to try to kill you!

I was on a flight once (out of Los Angeles) where the pilot announced that the plane had just been repaired. The nature of the repair was such that we wouldn't know if it had actually been fixed until just after take-off.

It turned out that it had been fixed properly.

I can honestly say I've never been more relieved to see a trip fall apart..... I'll do it in October.....
