THIS IS GREAT !!!!
We have designated parking spots, but alas, someone occasionally parks in my spot, which is very close to the door.
HMMMMMM Perhaps I need to have a sign too.......

Yeah, it's certainly a potential flaw in the scheme... but I have a generic blue Prius, and I think that everyone who MIGHT have parked n the spot have gotten used to the fact that it's reserved, so just don't pay much attention. There is much to be learned about the human psyche here!
I work in Silicon Valley. What might seem like strange names elsewhere are pretty common around here. Though "Arkmay Erkelandbay" was a bit of a stretch.

Going on Month 4. Still, absolutely NO "violations" of the posted space... unbelievable.
Still, to ensure the continued success and improve the odds of longevity (read: pound the joke into the ground), I have once again changed the name:
Really, how obvious can I make it?

Most people just see it as reserved then don't look further. Where did you get the base sign again?

Maybe in January you can change it to Employee of the Year.

Entering Month 5. Still have my parking space!
But, I decided to change things up a bit, and use a more feminine name for the "Employee of the Month" title. Let's see if anyone notices now!

Month 6, and a brand new year!
Let's see how far we can push this... WARNING: this name may take a little bit of sounding-it-out (and a love for Car Talk credits helps...)
https://goo.gl/photos/qiDpu8M8VuPMexGm7
I will be going on a business trip to India at the end of the month (according to my manager, "It's the farthest away we could legally send you"), so next month's foray into stupidity might be slightly delayed.
Just before Christmas, our company had a White Elephant Exchange. Being the magnanimous person that I am, I decided it was high time someone else reaped the splendorous benefits of elite vehicle storage positioning. So, I printed up a nice copy of the Employee of the Month parking sign, put a "Your Name Here" nameplate on it, and framed it. It came with a certificate proclaiming the bearer is entitled to all the honors and benefits occurring thereto. Of course, this could not be in perpetuity, so I made it available from Jan 25-Feb 5. Oh, and guess when my India trip is?
Don't worry, I wasn't a COMPLETE cheapskate. I also included a (framed) $20 Blockbuster Gift Card. Woohoo!!
And for those wondering... in the exchange, I scored THIS!!!

So, here we are in March. 8 months.
Yeah, I kinda neglected to post the February "Employee of the Month". Let's rectify that situation, shall we? (Yes, I DO always giggle when typing "rectify". Deal with it.)
I was on a business trip to India for the first week of the month in February (those of you on Facebook may recall my travel tribulations and musings). One of the reasons for my trip was "Training" some new engineers. I'm not sure how much technical training I provided, but at least now, whenever something new works or they have any sort of breakthrough no matter how minor, they stand up and shout "Super Genius!". I'm not really sure the management team in India is pleased with that, but oh well.
Anyway, I decided to honor this for the February Employee of the Month, with THIS Employee name. In case you are wondering, that is Hindi for "Super Genius".
And now, since March is the month of St Patrick, I got a little fancy with colors and graphics. The Silly Names theme, however, has remained the same.

But while you were in India, did the person that received your White Elephant gift actually use your parking spot?

I just realized I never posted the EoM for April, did I? Needless to say... IT WAS ME!
In honor of my previously discussed April Fools prank, I decided this was appropriate...

Very nice! Love the matching set.
My Mustang's plate, when read aloud, is PONY EX. My brother's Vette reads BLOWN.
I love my vanity plates! :-D

When I owned a V12 Jaguar, I had a vanity plate: PRRRRR
What the state of Florida neglected to tell me was that the fat fee you were paying to have the vanity plate made wasn't just to have it made, they expected you to pay through the nose for that thing EVERY YEAR! I dunno where they got the gall and audacity, but I wasn't very happy with them.

Might have changed.
I pay extra because I have a specialty plate on top of it being personalized, but no more than that specific plate costs. At least I don't pay this year. Yay for two year tags. Yay. O_o
