Seems that the Allman Brothers's song, Rambling Man, was referring to him. He can't seem to finish a thought.

When a swap is finished and I've received the cards, claimed finds on them, and made my comments, I would retire the tracker if I were hosting.
I retire the card I made only when I've traded away the last of the extra ones. Someone who might receive one of my older cards as a pass-along-card can still claim a find and comment.
I don't retire the stamp because there's no listing for the stamp itself. Besides, it might be used again.

I have yet to figure out how to "ink" the transfer before you carve it to help you see better.
I have not watched the video but "standard" practice is to stamp over the transfered image with something like Staz-On Yellow. It "seals" the transfer onto the material and, as a bonus, when you start removing material you can easily see where you have already carved and what still needs to be removed.

I agree with this, and I would add, "after inking over your transferred image, immediately turn over and stamp off the excess on plain paper." It still leaves your surface yellow, but a lighter shade.

My grands haven't boxes with me in years and I would like to delete their accounts. Is the 'spinoff' option the way to do this or is there another way? Thanks

I lightly blot the freshly yellow-inked stamp with a paper towel for the same effect.

You can spin them off. If there's no account activity with nothing of interest in the account, they'll eventually be deleted from the system.
But spinning them off would be the first step. *nodding*

I'd pay good money to watch him hose down the sidewalks in front of the White House. I read that he's considering another term because he had "a perfect MRI" at Walter Reed. I guess no one noticed he can't count to 3.

When is TALE this year? I was trying to find it under events and I think I’m using the wrong terms or something.

Yep, I've done it with good success. It helps both in protecting the transfer from smearing away and for seeing where you've carved.
I use this.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog.
Adder's fork and horse's mount,
Please spin off that sub-account.

As I mentioned earlier, I wrote Maria, the carver in that video, and she confirmed she uses Speedball pink stuff.
But she uses it better than I can!

Well folks, there are always the midterms- if he does not have the majority in Congress and Senate as he does now, it will take a bit of the wind out of his sails.... happened to Biden, Obama, etc.........
Get out and VOTE!!!
Get out and VOTE!!!
I'm in Indiana... Our selfish, jackass governor that says Hoosiers need to do more with less (as he uses our tax dollars to fund expensive vehicles for him and his cronies, and helipads and beefed up security systems on his personal property because the governor's mansion isn't good enough for him to live in), is calling a special session to redistrict the state to disenfranchise 40% of voters. This "special session" is projected to cost $250k... But little kids can't have universal pre-k, free school lunches, or safe housing (Indiana has some of the worst tenant's rights in the country).
For the record: I've voted in every single election, including primaries, since turning 18. I even flew back from AZ to vote twice. I'll continue to have this enthusiasm until I kick the bucket, no matter how much these losers try to suppress voters. For any of you out there that care, I highly recommend getting involved with MADVoters and League of Women Voters.

Hi!
We were avid letterboxers on the Front Range, so I was used to a really active letterboxing community. (We celebrated 15 years in August! Time sure flies when you're sneaking around looking for hidden treasure!).
We moved to the Western Slope four years ago, and recently started up again here. Letterboxes are definitely slower to be found here in comparison, but we're adjusting.
I just taught a class on Letterboxing for a local continuing ed organization and had 35 people in attendance! A smaller group from that class contacted me, and I helped them go on their first adventure! My hope is that the community of letterboxers out here gets even stronger, and that will encourage more action.
Time will tell!

Wow, that's great! Do you mind if I ask how you got involved? Did you contact them or did they contact you? I would love to do something like that!

I'm part of a local historical society, and I was approached about doing a different class (presentation) on a historic topic. I then taught another class on a different historical topic the next term. Then, they approached me to teach again this term and asked if there were any other topics that would be interesting. I explained what Letterboxing was, and they were intrigued! It was a huge hit! (If I do say so myself.)
The organization is New Dimensions in Grand Junction, CO. They cater to lifelong learners who are 50+ years old. The "classes" are one session each, typically, and they cover a wide variety of topics.
I hope that helps!

Yes, thank you. I used to teach classes on Polaroid Transfers. I loved it. I wouldn't mind trying to get more people in this area interested in letterboxing.
I might see if there is any avenues here.
Thanks again.

Well maybe we need to do a little of both! Or meet in the middle if there’s someplace cool. What city are you based out of?
