It may not be a true count - there are always a lot of site boxes, etc, that people forget to retire after an event is over.

Well, you guys do have Harold Parker State Forest ;-)
But what happens when you compare density? Maybe I should go look, if I can figure it out...

I'm thinking that Andover has more boxes per square inch than any other place in the country. But I could be wrong!! 😁

...... and the quality STILL supersedes the quantity!!! Many thanks to all the carvers who have contributed their fantastic creations for you all to enjoy! Dingus Dufus is the "clue master" in most cases - No complaints there!!! ;o)

HP State forest is 3320 acres of woodlands and ponds. Lots of room for lots of fun!!! Believe it or not there's way, WAY less than 1 box per acre - even less than 1 in 5 acres! Gotta get yer hike on!!! ;o)

Does anyone make or know who makes, for sale, the small bound logs that measure about 2 by 2 inch. I contacted Linda who does not do it any longer.

OR where can I find small good quality logs?

I live on the Mass/Conn line so I group CT and Ma together in quality boxes. I find there are a lot of older boxes and boxers in CT. I recently just started boxing in Andover at Harold Parker! just saying WOW here to the quantity and quality and fun boxes there. and then there is Maine. Keeps me boxing for years to come...

Wow.

Lawrence, Andover and North Andover, on Thursday evening, warning that the "number will grow."

Gas leaks causing explosions.

We are fine here in the southern part of Andover by HP. The terrible problems are just north of us. Thanks for thinking of us!

Hi I'm looking for a suggestion on a restaurant that serves good meals; not a chain or bar, with moderate pricing. I'd like it to be away from the city proper and more rural.

Springfield has some great stuff but most of what I know is right downtown like Red Rose (Italian), Theodore’s (BBQ), and Panjabi Tadka (Indian), Chef Wayne’s Big Mamou (Cajun) – so traffic might be a concern with the new casino. I might recommend a neighboring town like West Springfield for Crepes Tea House, or Chicopee for Bernie’s Dining Depot, or Chicopee for Lucky Strike.

A bit further north is the unique town of Northampton with a ton of great choices: Noodles, Jake’s, Sylvester’s, etc. A bit farther west if you are traveling along the Pike, is the Steaming Tender in Palmer which is also an excellent choice.

I know there is controversy about the question I'm asking but that is not my intent. I'm trying to find a listing for 'Prayer Rock' box in Bristol, VT. It isn't appearing on AQ or LB. It is hidden by a large rock on Rt. 116 called Bristol Rock that has the Lord's Prayer carved into it. Does anyone know where the listing is? This is a cross post with the VT. board.

I don't know about Prayer Rock, but I've found several in another state that seem to pre-date AQ and LBNA and aren't listed anywhere. Fun stuff to discover!!! ;o)

I’m not asking for clues but how would one find an old box not listed? Just randomly come across it?

Original clue:

From a well known incantation, follow the text 190 feet, as the crow flies towards the water, thence 30 feet upstream to a pile of rocks in the cobble.

The clue was changed when it was replanted

Prayer Rock

I knew one of the 'kings of Ma. boxing' would come thru. I just realized I have my finds hidden on LB and AQ so that is why it didn't come up on the list.....DOH...."slapping my forehead....." Thanks DD
