Board: Suggestion Box
Perhaps, once a finder clicks "Record Find" on the listing, the default should be that all the individual boxes in a series are already checked. You'd have the option to change the check to attempted or N/A as appropriate. Or perhaps, if you click on...

I always carry black and sepia ink pads. But for markers I found the crayola $.99 work as well as the much more expensive marvey.

I carry ink pads in several commonly used colors, and said this recently on another thread: I find it's difficult to ink up a stamp with multiple colors while standing alone in the woods. I think everyone should try stamping every stamp they carve, bu...

Thanks everyone for the quick responses!! For those that use teardrops, are they water based or pigment?

But if you click them all but did not find box 5 , then change box 5 to not found. You have then clicked twice for a 20 box series instead of clicking 20 times. I never meant to suggest you would leave found on boxes you did not find.:)

Once you click the find all , then change box 5 that you didn't find (for all the reasons you mentioned ) to not found. You have then clicked twice instead of 20 times. My fat fingers are not so good for clicking on small cell phone. I never intended...

I do the same. I like to have different colors in my logbook, so I have some dew drops and some small 1 inch ink pads. I keep them in a plastic pencil box.

In general, I was wondering how many boxers might be on a particular cruise ship and if it would be feasible to plant a box or arrange a meet-up. Is there a board or way to set up a temporary box where boxers would find it listed? I know larger crui...

I was on only one cruise, but it was Disney, and cabin doors had all sorts of decorations. You could try hanging a box in your door. I only brought my signature stamp and some small ink pads, and used postcards for anything stamped. Found boxes at port...

Thank you for the info. I was wondering, too, if there would be a place or a way on AQ to list a cruise box so others would know about it. Thanks

I just found this on AQ help: Are there any other letterboxes planted on cruise ships and how would we find out about them? If you want to find letterboxes planted on or near cruise ships, you should search the database using the keyword "cruiseship...

Thanks for all the help, folks--especially green tortuga for straightening us out and paper trail for updating our box numbers! We've grouped them all under Box #296100 (the original 3rd in the series, but with the easiest box number) and wiped out th...

It's barely 11:30 and I already have had two bowls of vanilla ice cresm with non-child slave labor chocolate syrup. And everyone will tell you, I don't really eat ice cream. And certainly not at 11 in the morning. Things are pretty bad. I really h...

Hi - Is anyone interested in several slabs of SLQ? I'll sell it to you for what I paid for it ($8/slab) plus shipping to you. All slabs are 4x6, still in new packaging: one each of peach, lime green, light green, light blue, teal green. Let me kno...

How do the colors carve relative to the white version of slq
by paper trailProfileContactLogbookNote

I've always preferred the colors over the white SLQ; I found the white kind of gummy, and it held the goudge for me. So, the colors are a smoother carve from my point of view --

That is pretty much the opposite of stealthy. I always know someone (well, not always) is in town because I start seeing logs on my boxes. You could always check the ship boxes for finds. Not foolproof if they don't log right away, but protective of...

Yes. I know from experience and from walking with a lean, that you should get absolutely one of each possible color.

Based on some of the litter we have found, the scariest part are the people you're locked in with! The live ones, I mean. (But not MB of course.)

I was just reading the AQ statistics page and it seems Ma. has more boxes planted than Ct. 7437 to 7391. I'd think Ct. would have a higher count but not so. Close tho.
