There were 8 stamps hidden in the area of the pavilion that showed Mickey Mouse as he was depicted through the years. I was told that this series was called The Evolution of Mickey, but I can't find it listed anywhere. Does anyone know the correct listing for this series?

Thanks, kudichan, for the info - boy, it looks like sweetloveqiner has sure embraced the sock business! I ordered the white once, but the colored slabs are far superior, from my point of view.

Apparently, people really like this carving material. Please explain to someone who hasn't carved with it, what makes it so much better than OZ and Speedy Carve?

Kudichan, I measured my slab of SLQ and it is the exact same size....I'll bet that's the stuff! I wonder if she could get a lot more in stock, and then maybe we can get a bunch of people in on a bigger order at a discount....

You are on trail and something is hurting you. You ask your beloved to take a look to see if he can help you. Your husband holds something up (tick) and says, "Look! A hitchhiker!!"

I am a die-hard 2007 or 2009 pink carver, using gouges. I LOATHE any pink that's been made since the formula change, because it is crumbly and I cannot get thin lines or detail well. Oz is too hard for me and I have stabbed myself too many times to keep using it. SLQ has the firmness like old pink, and I can get detail well. The only drawback I have experienced is that there is sometimes a little inconsistency in the material, causing my gouge to seize up or stall out, and then suddenly lunge. I have to use it more and learn how to control that. It takes ink well also, although I have not carved anything with a large ink surface yet to report on that. These are just MY observations, experiences, and opinions....you asked, and I'm answering- not wishing to spark any debates!

Since when has that stopped anyone from opining on anything here?

Thanks for the response. If I may summarize, the SLQ is like the good Speedy Carve.

I too really like SLQ and can get good detail out if it. But I would take the "good" pink (pre 2012 and it's reformulation) above SLQ because of those slight inconsistencies in SLQ periodically as you describe. As a purely gouge carver SLQ has the right firmness to allow for really good details and it takes acetone laser printed images for transferring very well. I know some great carvers who dislike SLQ and I know others who like it. I would choose it over OZ and new pink anytime. There are some Japanese materials that are every bit as good as SLQ (and close to PZKut white) but SLQ, for me, is the best of what is out there right now for size of slabs and the price. Let me know if a good supply of SLQ is found and I will help go in on ordering enough to make shipping worthwhile.

I've been out of the LTC making business for a few years and now have decided to cut back on my collection.

One project I'm working on is planting boxes on our 44 acre farm. There is room for a lot of boxes but I am a lazy Carver.

Do you have extra stamps you don't know what to do with? Want more LTCs? Do you want to trade? Send me a picture via email at kdalemama@yahoo.com (include a quarter for size comparison if you don't mind) and let me know how many LTCs you would like for your stamp or stamps.

Please note these are older LTCs from 2008 to 2010. If you were active in LTCs then, I will look through and find ones you don't have.

Let's make a deal!

We had a wonderful time too. So many boxes to find it was like a fantasy.. ha. Loved that the trails wove in and around the camp sites, so we could hop on the trails at the cabins. Thanks ST-Ranger for getting a year older and thank both St-Ranger and Knotty Lady for making Letterboxing a year better !!!

When chit chatting with the cashier while checking out at Trader Joe's, I mentioned that today is my wedding anniversary. When the transaction was finished, she hustled away from the register and out the door. I got my bag, headed out and was met by the cashier hurrying back in with a beautiful bouquet of flowers which she gave to me and wished me a happy anniversary!! I was speechless! So nice!
