Thanks to everyone who offered stamps! Yumgirl and I are going to plant a series in September that will be based on the new story. We're in the process of working out the details now.

Funguy and I planned a trip to Mt. Greylock for this weekend before the new Harry Potter news came out but now I'm even more excited to go. Too bad I'm not a better or faster carver, just an excuse now to plan another trip in September!

There's not notification when someone replies to one of your posts

There's not a separate notification, but there IS "a button for that". It's on the favorite boards widget for "replies to my posts", and that seems to me to be easier (they are all in one place), than looking through a bunch of separate notices anyway. My inbox gets cluttered with various notices (yes, I know I can turn them off), but since there is already a button for "replies. . . ", that's a notification that wouldn't be necessary, IMHO.

sometimes, i dont even put a logbook. i laminate a message about atlas quest and ask them to log in on here...especially if the stamp is in a small container or in a muggles filled area. shortens the time they have to hang around to get the box. i usually put about ten pages. i use 90 lb paper so it can handle back and front stamping. I also bind it with plastic so that nothing rust away in case they get wet. office depot will spiral bind tiny notebooks (they have to cut the bindings down or you can do it yourself. my cover is a laminated (heavy duty 10mm lamination) image of the stamp with all of the info. they are very plain, but very functional. the size of the book is about the size of a playing card.

I always go for at least 75 pages and usually 100, card stock so finders can turn the book over and stamp on the backs of pages from the back of the book towards the front. But I plant boxes on vacation in places that I will never return to visit or maintain, so the idea is that the log book must last the life of the box. I've only had a couple fill up, as far as I know, so for a maintained box that's perhaps more pages than necessary.

Funny you should mention Camp Perry. My son just got back from the CMP Nationals there last night. Only something like the top 30 teams qualify. You can watch the targets in real time online. It's pretty state-of-the-art and exciting, though it was somewhat lacking in gratifying sound effects. Pyew! Pyew! Their targets are mere inches across and indoors, so no chance of popping someone on the lake. Every holiday, however, some numbnuts kills a toddler here firing into the air. Never underestimate the potential stupidity of an armed humanoid. Many of them can't even drive! And they all appear to be having some kind of reunion in front if ME!

Can you tell I'm out shopping in Houston on a Saturday?

Now that school is over, I have been updating my plants. I have gotten to most of them in Nashua, although not all yet, as a few were not reported missing, but I found them to be. So check my clues to see if anything you are missing has been updated yet.

I'm a big frisbee golfer and the one thing I realized is that people plant in parks..... A lot. And it just happens that I'll go disc golfing and spend 3 hours LBing after. It's a fun meditation out door type lol
