there is always reuseit

Love reuseit.com. Not only can I get Lock & Locks there, I can get awesome water bottles, bottle slings, reusable bags, etc.....

Definitely a fan. :) I order from them regularly, and love how fast their service is.

If you're a first time customer, you can use this referral code to get $5 off a $50 order: rcuo8zb

Anyone know how to contact a GEOCACHE member??

Hi all,

Today, while checking up on a couple of my letterboxes, my daughter called out that she had found the perfect place for a letterbox. She crawled up a steep hill to a tree with a beautiful hole in the bottom and..... found a geocache! Someone else also thought the spot was perfect! The geocache was in perfect shape, but the box we found it in was in pieces. Literally. I had a box to replace it with, but it's not a top-quality box, and I would like to update the planter.

Does anyone know how to do that?? Unfortunately, I did not write down the name of the geocache, but I did write the name of the geocacher down. I did, once upon a time, sign up with geocaching.com, but have never done much with it.

Any help is much appreciated!

There's a group of picnic tables centrally located in the middle of the parking lot at Ijams. I hope to stake out that area, near my vehicle which is a huge black SUV during the duration of the day. I will post more details on the event site. Thanks for asking DS.

It's a little hard to search for geocachers by name on geocaching.com, but it's easy to search for the caches. Sign in to the site, click on Play, then Hide and Seek a Cache, and you'll get a search screen by location. You can type in something, like the zip code of where you were, and it will list all the caches in the area. Near the top of that screen, to the right of the coordinates, click on Map This Location. You should be able to find the cache you found on the map. It will list the name of the cacher. You can click on that link to get the cacher's email.

FYI....this comes up in a search of New York City, NY
It is not in New York City. It is actually upstate near Buffalo and Lake Erie.

It must be a very very bright light! :-)

I am a geocacher as well and can look up the cache for you to find out who planted it. I should be able to give you their geocaching.com email. Let me know via AQ mail if I can help!

No need. I've already fixed it. Looks like a custom location gone awry. =)

Ah, it has been a while. Mama Wolf doesn't like to get hugs and she doesn't even like for people to click her hug button, which of course means some of us--not mentioning names--click the hug button for everything she posts.

People also try to bait her into letting them hug her and bribe her and trick her, etc. It's become a group joke. :-)

The grand total of 3 pictures I took today, on my phone, since I forgot my camera at home !!!
For those of you who know me, .... you know that that NEVER happens !!!
I kicked myself in the butt all day for not having it. So many Photo Ops presented themselves....
and I wasn't able to capture them for sharing, blackmail, etc.

Picture 1) Alyson Wonderland's son James and Knit Wit's son Stephen.
They're both so darn cute, they made our whole group look good !!
We enjoyed having them with us.

Picture 2) The SUGAR POP Bear on Main Street. Dina B. cannot resist a costumed person of any kind, especially one that represents candy / ice cream / sweet stuff !!

Picture 3) OUR ANGEL ..... Mama Wolf donned a Fuzzy white HALO for the day of letterboxing.
While none of us dared get too close, for fear of being singed by lightening..... nor did it "fool" any of us, OR anyone in the town of Mooresville ......it was a great costume .....

SMH

Again, AWESOME DAY !!!

After unwrapping a small Christmas tree this evening that we put in our Kitchen each year, my husband presented me with a small gift. It was a long missing mini Steadler. A favorite of mine that was marked by a piece of tape so I could quickly grab it. We keep a huge plastic bag underneath of the tree (covering the bag with gold lame) and simply slide the bag up to repackage the tree at the end of each Christmas season. The spot where I sit at the table and where my magnifier lamp is located is right beside this tree. Apparently the mini got caught in the plastic bag and was then packed away for 11 months. I have already carved with it tonight . Works like a champ!! Yippee for husbands finding lost minis!
