There's been a "Letterboxing Southwest" board since practically the day these message boards went up. You've been the only folks with your own private "regional" board all this time! =) (The board is now called Regional: Southwest.

That's what I meant. The souteast board has always been there. The southwest board is new. =) If you check the board now, you'll see the first post was made in November of 2004. That's not a typo! =)

Ryan!
Thanks for the regionalized board! Looking forward to seeing these boards generate as much activity as the east coast boards. I have several series of stamps I would like to carve over the next few weeks and months and get them planted before the weather starts to take a colder turn. Give some of the cold weather hikers/campers and LBers something to do this winter.

I second that! There were too many boxes and boxers and too little time! Let's have some more get-togethers!!
(it was very nice meeting you too, stormcrow - remember, BB and I are going to head up your way at some point, so we're counting on you to point us in the right direction for some awesome Spokane boxes... =)

WTA is scheduled to spend two days Oct 18 and 19 doing annual maintenance (brushing and treadwork) on the Augspurger Trail in the Columbia River Gorge. (The Dog Mountain Trailhead)

You get a Northwest Forest Pass for your trouble!
I wish I could sign up for it, but as usual--I am working weekends and won't be able to get it off. But I thought some of the Portland area letterboxers might be interested.

For those coming to the South Puget Sound area...

Did some LONG over due maintence out there...terrific park if any of you haven't been! I do belive there is plenty of room for some more well placed boxes.
XPost warning!
These boxes are in Graham, Washington...which borders Puyallup in the South Hill area.
There are 8 there right now, in 2 different series. These were placed a little over a year apart and show the progression of my carving and planting. **BOTH SERIES HAVE HAD CLUE CHANGES**
The BYOHFS series is missing the last box, but that will be remedied by the end of the month.
http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gBoxId=12521
The Just Keep Swimming series had 2 boxes that were lonely for a long time, the trails have changed a bit due to windstorms and such. But all 6 boxes of this series are alive and well!
http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gBoxId=42351
Let me know if you plan on coming to get these...perhaps I can meet up with you!

Planted 7 new boxes in the Redmond Area today....

Whew! I have been on a carving frenzy the past few weeks! I finally got around to bagging and tagging them all and spent today planting them. I didn't have time to hike them to any remote locales so for now they are all pretty easy to locate. Most have a "monster" theme to them so I wanted to get them planted before Halloween. I will move to more inspired locations down the road.

{{I thought the box of the Month was going to be in Bellingham.}}
We have one in Bellingham, too! Here's the link:
http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gBoxId=96605
So if you miss the Box of the Month when it's in Tumwater, you will still have a chance to get it in it's northern location before it heads to the east coast.
And I highly recommend making a trip north to our letterboxers paradise - have you seen how many boxes we have in Bellingham?!!

We are indeed lucky here in the PNW, there is also a Box of the Month 2008-2009 in MicMinnville Oregon. Murry Herd is the host there. So with a little driving you have three chances to score the stamp.
