Hi! I'm a Mississippi letterboxer! What part of Mississippi are you boxing in?
By the way, all of the Vicksburg stamps are FABULOUS. I do mean fabulous.

Glad to see some Mississippi boxes coming along. We're in Alabama but are certainly willing to make a weekend trek when there's a nice little nest of them out there! We spent a day in Newnan this weekend (but really needed two days!)
Looking forward to a road trip!

My daughter (Number1DramaQueen) and I are putting a series together that will stretch the 40.2 mile trail from Hattiesburg to Prentiss. We are aware of 10 rest stations that we will do some planting.

Are there any boxers in the Pass Christian/Biloxi area? I came to the board to see, but you guys are awfully quiet. :-(
I'm hoping to drop two boxes there late this year.

I used to live in Hattiesburg. I'm in TN now. Whenever I go home I always try to find a few boxes. I also planted one in Hattiesburg at the Eatonville/Glendale exit. I'll try to look for your boxes if I'm ever down there. Thanks for planting in MS.

Mowizliz,
If there is any way possible, I recommend you cross the state and go to Vicksburg where Corazon has some really nice boxes. The stories and locations alone are worth reading and seeing. The one in Port Gibson is really neat but a long drive from Vicksburg. I also have one box south of Vicksburg (a drive by) but it will take you about 15-20 minutes to drive there. Also, JBK has place boxes in V'burg and are really nice stamps.
I know you are headed for the coast but thought I would put a plug in for the River City.

Thanks for the plug Blue Butterfly!
If you are referring to the "Windsor Ruins" box, it has been reported missing and I haven't had a chance to go back and check for myself. "Show Me the Way" in Port Gibson itself is definitely missing. "Grand Gulf Mortar" between Port Gibson and Vicksburg is available, as are all of my Vicksburg boxes except "Square Harris". And if you make it to Vicksburg, don't overlook the boxes by Blue Butterfly and jbkokopelli that also there.

You are welcome Corazon! So sorry to hear that some are missing especially Windsor Ruins. I know it has been there a long time and I loved the location and box. I do hope to get back there sometime soon. I am working on making a trip out there. I know there are some boxes for me to get when I do make the trip.
Take care!

I planted 5 of these boxes today! So far they run from Southern Miss in Hattiesburg to a beautiful park in Bassfield. The station in Sumrall has windows facing it from all sides. I didn't get it planted and can't see how anyone can be stealth finding it. I will have to figure out something for this one.
I still need to get the Carson and Prentiss boxes planted and the one at Lott Circle moved due to fireants.
Happy Trails,
CP

My family just got back from a trip down to MS. I grew up in Eatonville/Glendale and still have family there and on the coast. I didn't have a lot of time to letterbox on this trip but did manage to find two wonderful boxes in Ovett. Great stories behind them and really cute stamps. I also checked on my first plant, Cold Cash. It's still there waiting for it's first finder. I added a first finder prize if anyone's interested. Have any of you been lbing in this area lately? I hope to plant more in the near future. I may borrow other's ideas of telling stories about my memories with my grandparent's. I would love to hear more about going's ons down home.

Hey to all you Missippi letterboxers!
A lot of Louisiana letterboxers cross the Louisiana/Missippi state line to letterbox. Jbanana and I came to Vickburg this summer and found really cute LBs. So, in return, here's a special invitation to come over here. You may be thinking, "Shreveport is just too dang far. Forget it, Sister!" But, good news! Jbanana and I planted several Lbs this summer just for you folks. Hers are really good. Mine aren't as good as her's but, hey, it's a stamp. There's always at least one of hers near mine so it's worth the trip.
Search using or trail name, Jbanana or Zinni to see what you're missing.
Eat at Granny's for home cookin' or Lucky Village, Pippens for lunches or sandwiches. The Hub in Mer Rouge has ice cream with a reputation and hot dogs that are just as good. If you're lucky enough to be here on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, Fish Warehouse is really good. The cinnamon rolls are melt-in-your-mouth fantastic.
Hope to hear from you soon. And when you come over, I'd love to meet you for an exchane.
Zinni
