I jump on LA to be first and I'm sure the second boxer of our state will be second to post, Jim. As for Mark, he was one of the lucky ones that helped Ryan test this message board. So he already knew a little about it when it was released.

Board: State: Georgia
Nov 5, 2004 5:25am
Yep, I'm doing another marathon day on Sat. This one may be a solo jaunt, but we'll see if I have a mysterious friend along or not. Going to try to tie or break my record of 13.
I'll post my adventures as usual.

Best of luck Mark! Can't wait to hear about it! We'll be down in your neck of the woods at Stone Mountain!
If anyone else is at Stone Mountain Saturday and sees a short woman with a VERY tall husband and two rugrats, please say hello!!!

Dang! I would've met you out there. This marathon thing just kind of happened. Otherwise I would've been out there to cheer you on! Best of luck. Can't wait to here how your day goes!

Have fun, Mark!!! I'm so jealous...I'll be in training for my new (gasp!) JOB all day. (Seasonal position at a certain store in the Perimeter area that deals entirely in Containers. Fun! I expect visitors.)
I look forward to reading the usual well-written synopsis!

Button Gwinnett is missing
Board: State: Georgia
Nov 21, 2004 10:26am
I'm very sad to say that the Button Gwinnett box has been reported by two separate boxing groups as missing. As it's not a tricky box to find, we can only assume for the time being that it is actually gone. I will update the clues, but for those of you who have already printed them out, stay tuned until we have a chance to search for it ourselves.
Thanks,
Lady Buzz

Dude! That totally sucks! I really liked that box. I'm hoping that it is still there and there is just some kind of mistake.
Sheeeesh.

I know...my mind keeps going back, trying to think WHY on earth someone would feel it necessary to remove it. If it's a Park person, you'd think they'd at least have the courtesy to let me know, since I'm not doing anything specifically against the rules, you know? And if it's someone else - what kind of person gets joy from ruining someone else's fun? Twits.
We'll probably go back Friday or Saturday to try to find it ourselves.

When we found it, it was pretty visible from fairly far away and wasn't covered by anything. Your clues made me think it would be covered by a brick or stone or something so I'm not sure what happened. Anyway, I found a large stone to hide it with, so it was much less visible. I really like that stamp, I hope it shows up. If it doesn't I vote for a recarve :) Too nice a stamp to lose.

Thanks for covering it, Eli...it sounds like it was either found by a non-boxer before you got to it, or just rehidden poorly, as it was covered by the bricks when we left it. :(

Fredbird just checked, and Button is missing. Boo hoo!!!
Now's decision time...I wonder what we should do? Obviously, I should re-carve, but do I risk the same park or find a new place? (Obviously, I won't use the same hidey-hole.)

If Eli found this one out in the open and there were no bricks nearby, then wasn't it in a different place than the one where you originally hid it? I bet if you asked, he'd go out and see if it's still under the rock he used.

Button Gwinnett has been found! Thanks to Scooter's Mom for finding him.
It turns out there was a mix up in a re-hide, and he's safe!
I will advise y'all when he's moved back to his original spot.
Thanks!

(Sorry for the cross-posting!)
Hello friends!
I know I've been MIA for a while, and I hope you'll soon see why.
Tomorrow is Blue Giraffe's 5th birthday. Five years ago tomorrow,
something went horribly wrong with my pregnancy, and I ended up in
an ambulance and later delivering a one-and-a-half pound baby via
emergency c-section. He and I are both very lucky to have survived
and to be as healthy as we are.
That "something" that went wrong was preeclampsia, and I had it
again (although not as severely) when I was pregnant with Little
Turtle. Many of you know that I am now the Georgia Group
Coordinator for the Preeclampsia Foundation. On MAY 7, we're having
our First Annual Walk-A-Thon to raise awareness and research funds
for the disease. The Atlanta walk will be one of over 15 walks
around the U.S.
So, onto the FUN part! I am planting a one-day-only box in an area
near the Walk-A-Thon site in Norcross. The ONLY way to get these
clues is to register & walk! I am carving a special stamp and
making an extra-special logbook for this box, and the stamp will
only be available to those who participate in the walk. (PLEASE do
not treat this as a WOM box.)
Lastly, many thanks to Mark, who has provided a site for interested
boxers. http://www.geocities.com/dividedeye/clamp.html
I look forward to seeing a lot of you on the trail!
Hugs,
Lady Buzz

Red,
Could you possibly go in and add our two GA / SE events? That way, those of us that attended can add them in to our AQ counts. Not sure if you can even go back, just a thought.
Thanks,
bz

The Haunt's in there. Do a search for "haunt." I didn't see an immediate change in the PFXE, but it's changed now. Probably just a refresh thing.
