Something to do in New Brunswick

I want to encourage you New Brunswick folks to plant some letterboxes and get started on this hobby. Turtle McQ has planted a beautiful stamp at Grand Falls, but the only people stamping in the logbook are from northern Maine. And me a couple days ago. S.P.

Well, I'm not from NB, but I was there in July and planted a box in Saint John.

Hi, I am fairly new at letterboxing but am going on a cruise for my honeymoon to St. John, NB and Halifax, NS. I was hoping to get some letterboxing done when we stopped in port. How do I find the clues for this box you planted? Again, like i said, I am new at this.

Thanks

I have six boxes waiting to go to New Brunswick. I'll be planting them on Grand Manan in August. It's a great little spot and completely worth the ferry ride over.

We're also heading to Halifax and if I have time I'll put something together there, too.

If anyone gets to Halifax - could you please check on our box. With Dave's active duty, we've been unable to check on it.
Thanks

Weekend in Grand Manan

ATVRacer and I always take a weekend around our anniversary and travel. This year we're spending Labor day weekend on Grand Manan. Noticed there are only two active letterboxes on the island, but about 60 geocaches. (WHAT????) The good thing though, is that we are two boxes from hitting 2500 finds and these two will do the trick (as long as they are both still there.)

Every year we plant our traditional anniversary box, so we're hoping to up the letterbox numbers on the island.

Besides the two boxes listed, does anyone know of any WOM boxes that we might try to find? We don't mind exploring by geocache, but would rather get inky!

Those might be mine. It has been a long time since I put them in, and I cannot guarantee they are still there. Seal Cove is probably your best bet. Have a great time. GM is an amazing place.

Edited to say (and I should have looked first) that I retired all of mine, but Seal Cove, the first box at least, is probably still there, if you want to look. Say hi to Bob and Judy if you see them!

would like some contact w/NB letterboxers

going to be riding my motorcycle from North Carolina to Moncton

just cannot go that far
and to a new area
without doing some kind of letterboxing

is there anyone who would be willing to give me a head's up
what is doable----has to be DRIVEBY sort of LB
because
on a motorcycle...off roading is not an option
and wearing motorcycle boots...not comfortable hiking

hoping to hear from some one

I can't personally guarantee that these boxes of mine are still there (especially Plogues et Cretons, though I'm not sure the last searcher was looking in the right place), but they're all practically drive-bys and definitely worth a try.

Madawaska, Maine is just across the border from Edmundston, NB (there's a border crossing there), and could easily be on your route from NC to Moncton.

Safe travels. Moncton's a curious destination for such a long trip. :)
