Letterboxing in South Korea...

We've planted a couple of letterboxes in Korea. We're always game for 'finding' letterboxes there, too. Let us know if anybody plants a letterbox or two around the peninsula, please!

Still looking for letterboxers in Korea. We're heading back there in a few days and are looking forward to 'finding' some there as opposed to planting more. ;)

Hey there,

We've planted a trio of new boxes around the peninsula--two of which are hanging around an island in the middle of the Yellow Sea. Keep on the lookout for Stone Guy, Lonely Rock & Dragon's Head. Enjoy! dvn2r ckr

We're headed home, shortly, so this 'second round' of letterboxing in Korea is about to come to a screetching halt. Hopefully, somebody will actually go 'looking' for these boxes someday--before they go missing. Maybe somebody will even think to leave us a 'treat' of the letterboxing variety to seek out during our next visit to the Land of the Morning Calm? ;) I guess I can always dream, eh? I did notice a letterbox/geocache hybrid 'pop up on the radar' down in Japan so I can always hope it jumps across the sea...

See you on the flip side in several months' time.

Plenty of new boxes and more on the way. Wish there were more around here to be found.

Perhaps there have been locals engaged in letterboxing in the past but none that I can detect. After finding a guys LB hybrid. He messaged me with a curious tone. I directed him on where he can find carving tools and medium to carve. low and behold he has now changed host LB hybrid from a store bought stamp to a hand carved one. He found one of my plants and is planning on hiding some letterboxes.

So I am here at last. :)

Thanks Lig very much for introducing Letterboxing and atlasquest.com.
Now I have carved one stamp, which is not planted yet, as Lig said.
I have one more to be carved, which I think should be planted Namsan area.

Anyway I am very glad to know the game, and hope to be able to contribute even if I don't know much right now.

I know this message is really old, but I'm a letterboxer and looking to plant some boxes in my area! My family is U.S. military and works with the ROK army so maybe some themed around the collaboration of the two countries...I'm still pretty new to carving but I really miss the plethora of boxes we had in our area of the states. :( Are you still in Korea?

Wow, completely missed this message. woops. I am still here until mid September. Have a few boxes left to plant. I finally am onto my lest few small pieces of pink stuff (when I first got here I bought one of the huge slabs; around 30cm x 30cm).

I only started carving because here and back where i lived in Spain there werent many boxes. There are still plenty of places that dont have boxes around here. Get to it! (and search out the ones that are around Korea if you get a chance.)
Bye.
