Just woke up out of a deep sleep and some crazy Egyptian boxing in a cemetery.

Was just over on the book of face and a memory came up that I was up super early (around 7a) on this date last year and I didn't have to be.

This year I'm up and it's because I have to be. Yuck! Worked late last night and have to go in super early today so no sleep (til Brooklyn!!)

But on the upside, I made a batch of cookies and did all the dishes :)

Glad I'm not the only one. Laundry is in the dryer, dishes are done, but I'm waiting on the bread to come out of the oven so I can go to sleep. It is going to be a rough morning.

I made Fluffy Hamburger Buns and 2 loaves of white bread. Not too exciting, but fun to say "fluffy buns" (-:

Actually not to go...that's how long I've been awake. By all intents and purposes (is that right?? I'm not sure and I honestly don't care all that much at this point) I should be fast asleep since I was exhausted when I left work at 8pm but I seem to have jinxed myself by stopping at the halfway point and having a snack and messing around of my phone in order to be awake enough to continue the drive that I am now wide awake.

Woke up too early, so what did I do? Signed up for a series of LTCs--just what I didn't need to do, but sounds like fun. Even got a couple images picked out.

Nowadays 4am is either around the time I'm thinking about going to bed, or I'm at work. We weren't able to do much boxing at all this year - I had signed up earlier in the year for an ltc swap I really wanted to be a part or, but never made it to the end. So, good luck, best wishes and do better than I was able to this year! ;)

Anyone else out there binge cleaning?

yes- cleaning house! Doing a "donate 40 items in 40 days" for Lent.... or did you mean cleaning out your LB stuff?!

I tried to resist, then tried it for a couple of minutes, but found something interesting and managed to stop.

Husband in hospital, so I decided to clean the bedroom while he was gone. Can't seem to clean it while he is inhabiting it. I gave up shortly after this post and got to sleep on a clean, empty bed. I usually sleep on the couch/lounge because of his restless leg syndrome and apnea. Slept really well for about 3 1/2 hours. Still woke up at the usual time. I can't really sleep when he's in the hosp.--I get in cleaning mode.

I have been working night shift for nearly 16 yrs now.... I always log into AQ on my break @ work.... I always wish there were more night boxing opportunities.... but alas not often.... if you use the parks @ night the rangers come out around here and most cemeteries close and lock their gates at dusk... lampposts are lit at night making them hard to be stealthy near- who has seen the best night boxing spots and why were they? Anyone?!

One night before bedtime, I was checking LB chatter and newest boxes. Found a new posting for a box next town over, knew exactly where I had to go. No way I could wait until the next day. I was in a first finder kick, so at 11:30pm I got my nephew up and headed to the Shaw’s parking lot. Once there found the Clothes donation boxes, went behind them to a small pine and on hands & knees I’m digging around under the tree for the
LB. ‘Airplane Snack’ ! I was trying to hurry before cops came, my nephew was standing by laughing, his idea of ‘helping me’ ! Couldn’t even wait to get home, recorded it right there.
It has been my only night time find, a great memory for us, we had a blast.

I think my only nighttime experience was at a huge event. Sadly night boxes are hard to come by the more security tightens and people are fearful of our sketchy activities because of what's going on around us.

Most of my boxing is at night, city parks I can sometimes do, but state parks are usually out - it depends on the park (we are by the ocean and you can usually sneak onto a beach). Lampposts may be lit, but no one is around plus you can usually park right at it and use your car as a shield. I love walking in old cemeteries at night, the newer ones are usually locked up, but really old historic ones are usually not. I always get very excited if a new box is planted that I think we can do at night, I have a family of vampires and it gives us a place to go instead of wondering aimlessly from one 7-11 to the next (-:
