That moment of elation when you get a find notice on a favorite box you planted several states away from home, and which had three consecutive strikes over a year ago. But just when you start your happy dance, the low of seeing that the find date was before the strikeouts . . . . and is just now being logged.

Anyone else go from letterbox high to low, or low to high, in a matter of minutes? What's your story?

How about when you get a find notice but in the remarks they say couldn't find the box? It's easy to forget to change the check box.

low to high, in a matter of minutes

On one memorable occasion, Southpaw and I searched really hard for a box that hadn't been found in 5 years. We got scratched by briars, waded through poison ivy (she's not allergic, but I am), and got our feet wet. Cursing, sweating, and bleeding, we were just about to give up, and then suddenly, she reached down and found the box, which was in great condition!!! Definitely a low to high moment. :^)

A 'simple' DB mystery which I solved; found it without much trouble. I was told it was a very small container so I thought it would be difficult but it wasn't. I walked back to my car to stamp in doing my 'happy dance'. I opened the container and what to my wondering eyes should appear.....
A geocache......My jaw dropped from disappointment and amazement at the same time to find such a tiny geocache container. I did find the box 3-4 months later.

Finally figured out the mystery box - high.

I’ll have to fight over an hour of pain in the rear heavy traffic each way - low.

But I will.

High: Finally figured out a mystery clue, Low: realize it is completely across the country from me!
