I have to login every time I go to the page even if I tell it to remember me. This happens with my iPhone but my iPad stays logged in.

Your iPhone is probably deleting the cookies from AQ every time you close your browser. I'm not familiar enough with an iPhone to tell you what settings to look for to change, but that's what you should be looking around for. Allow AQ to save cookies indefinitely.

Perhaps someone familiar with an iPhone can help?

mine is just the opposite..., iPhone stays logged in while my iPad makes me sign in every time. At one time the iPad stayed logged in and then just stopped..

I encounter that randomly. It usually resolves by itself after a few times, but if it doesn't, I log in, then save a new link to "my page", and delete the old link.

It'll be the same problem, though. Check that your browser isn't deleting cookies. That's what AQ uses to "remember" who you are from visit to visit, and if the cookies get deleted, so does the ability to auto-login.

My iphone has started asking for my AQ login/password about daily just this week... it is not every single time I pull up AQ, but about daily. I have not changed any settings on my phone or Safari, or done any updates to Safari or the OS. I am not having this issue with other sites that remember me and are accessed on a regular basis.

I know it's hard to believe, but it's the cookies. Mobile devices in particular seem to have a bad habit of deleting cookies for security purposes--I guess so if someone finds your phone, they can't log into your favorite websites. But it's the cookies, and there's a setting somewhere that is causing them to be deleted.

Check out this page on Atlas Quest. It displays your IP address and user agent which isn't really relevant, but it'll also display all of the cookies that AQ has saved to your browser.

The relevant entry is cAutoLogin6 -- that's what AQ looks for when you first visit a page and you aren't logged into an account. If it exists--and it's valid--it'll tell AQ who you are and that it's okay to log you in automatically. If it's not there (or isn't valid), you won't be logged in automatically.

A second, somewhat related cookie is the YourVisitId cookie. AQ uses this to remember who you are from page to page to page. It doesn't log you in with every page load, but it remembers who you are. If you're logged in, it remembers who you were from the previous page. If you aren't logged in, it knows you're the same person who clicked the previous page, but it doesn't necessarily know who you are--just that you're the same person as before. It's kind of like a short-term tracking system every time you visit AQ, while the cAutoLogin6 is a long-term tracking system.

The next time you're asked to log in, before logging in, check that link and see which cookies exist. YourVisitId will pretty much always be there. the cAutoLogin6 will be missing, though, because it was deleted by your browser and AQ can't log you in without that information. AQ tells the browser it should save that cookie for about 1 year, but browsers don't really have to honor that request and there are settings that will automatically delete cookies from untrusted websites or for security purposes.

It's a setting somewhere. Pinky swear! I don't know why some websites don't have that problem. Maybe the browser considers Google a "trusted" website so will preserve cookies from Google but has no idea what AQ is and is therefore "untrusted" and cookies get deleted. But if that cAutoLogin6 cookie disappears, you will have to log in manually the next time you visit.

The only time AQ will delete that cookie is if you explicitly log out of AQ by clicking the "logout" link. Or, it'll expire after about one year of inactivity. If the cookie is deleted for any other reason, it's because your device deleted it, and there's a setting somewhere that's causing it. You need to change that setting or add AQ as an exception for that setting.
