So some of you might have noticed that AQ was down for the last 20 minutes or so. Yep, I did another update! It wasn't a very big one, but since it required some changes to the database, I figured it was easier to make the necessary changes while nobody was actively using the website.

So! you're probably asking. What changed?

Not much, really. I was in the chat room the other day and noticed that the layout was broken badly on Firefox, and broken a little on Chrome. I haven't updated those pages in years and they looked fine when I originally created them, but for whatever reason, they don't seem to work as well on newer browsers.

So I decided it was about time I did a complete and total rewrite of the chat room code. It was long needed. It's a small subsystem and was a relatively quick and easy one to do. And since I was updating it, I also made sure it would work (relatively) well with smartphones too. While you can use the AQ chat rooms on a smartphone now, they are--admittedly--not ideal for this purpose. There's just not a lot of space on a smartphone and a group of chatty people can be hard to follow when it scrolls off the page too fast.

But that's what this update was--a chat room update. Anyone feel like a chat? =)

It's one of those... you had to be there situations. To try to explain just wouldn't be as funny and would probably leave you saying, "um, ok?"
