Everything is working fine on my iPad and iPhone, but I see that same result you're getting every once in a long while - going back to long before this last update. It only happens when someone has posted an extremely long link, and for some reason, it runs past the column boundries. (See the link posted by cooledcoyote to a shirt for sale). I suspect it's the way the link is posted that's at fault, and not the device reading it.

What version is the browser?
But I think it might be what others described--a long-URL problem not related to the update. Long URLs have always been a problem, though. I haven't figured out a satisfactory solution that one.

Unable to locate safari version on iPad
All how- to locate instructionsi found are for iMac versions
Sorry I won’t waste your time again

Don’t feel dense. I have an iPad also, latest version 11.2.1, and I did not find where it showed the latest version of Safari. I also struck out on Google search and Apple Support website. Next time I go by the Apple Store I’ll ask one of the Techies there, for the both of us!

I found this, which is what I had assumed, regarding Safari updates:
"There are a number of ways to update Safari, including performing a general update for the iPad operating system. Anytime that Apple releases an upgrade for the operating system, the latest Safari update will be included as well."
So it is safe to assume, if your IOS is up-to-date, then you also have the latest Safari browser version on your iPad.
