Gelli Plate sizes

For those who have one - what size do you have and why? I'm torn - having seen 8x10, 12x12 and 12x14, as well as the smaller sizes. What are the benefits of use of each (including the smaller)? Basically, I'm trying to think about using an entire sheet of regular 8 1/2 x 11 instead of cards cut down to the individual LTC size. Thanks!

I LOVE mine. i have the 8x10. it is closer to a standard size of paper and easier to tote around. I have made prints on 24x30 paper and it still looks amazing. I just overlap "background" prints to cover the entire sheet. since stencils only come in standard sizes, you really dont need to go with the bigger size gelli plate. I store all three of my 8x10 gelli plates in the scrapbooking boxes made out of plastic and i store all of the stencils in another one. that way the whole deal is stackable. I would say that the smaller sizes are a waste of money since you can cut the 8x10 prints down to the size you want. (you will never make the same print twice with this process so if you want concistancy, go with the bigger size.) pardon my creative spelling...I don't like rules! lol

We were given some Gelli plates for the retreat. They also promised us a discount code (for anyone to use). I reminded them to send me the link. If they give me the code, I will be sure to post in on AQ.

I have two-- the 8x10 and the 5x7, and I find myself using the smaller one most of time. I can cut four LTCs from a 5x7 card. I like to mix up the designs a lot and using the smaller plate lets me experiment more with different colors and designs. You can't go wrong with whatever size you get. They are so fun and addictive!

I have a larger size, not sure which it larger than sheet of card stock. Like that I can make an entire sheet then cut into the size I need.

I have a 6 x 6 because it was a gift from my daughter and a 3 x 5 because I thought it would be easier for LTCs, but I haven't used it yet.

I have the 8x10. I think it would be helpfulnto have the 12x12, but price is so crazy. I just make several of each design.. Sometimes they are a bit different, but basically the same idea. Also the 8x10 is floppy enough as it is, could be cumbersome when it comes time to really clean the plate, and storing it.

Im interested in getting 5x7 or 4x5 because i like to make frameable prints, that still have a white edge around them. I really like that look.
