(taps on mic, cues spooky bowing on the saw music)
"Have you seen the ghost of John?
All white bones with the skin all gone
Oooh, Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh
Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on, no skin on?"

Here in Knoxville we have the haunted Bijou Theater, the Baker-Peters house, the Old Gray Cemetery, and a few other urban legends sights. I've boxed at the Old Gray Cemetery and thankful it was during the day!

How about other spots in TN? I'd love to go scope out some spooky boxes!

They used to have a haunted farm near here (Jackson) called the 13th realm that even had a real cemetery on it. I wanted so badly to plant a box there but they were never open! I went all the way out there twice and both times they were closed and didn't post that on their site until the next day. This year we were gonna try a corn maze and a haunted something in Memphis, but due to weather we nixed that idea. So I guess it's trick or treat at the mall then off to Grandmas (kill me).

Get a "headache." Send the kids with your husband, pour a glass of wine, and watch your favorite scary movie on Netflix.

Such a good idea. She's been cooking for days, and her food is so awful. But hopefully we can go there with a time deadline and jet quick. I'm thinking of trying a new haunted farm out, so we'll see how that goes!

Wonder what "Juniors Castle" would be like on Halloween? It's in Blount county and it's already creepy on a regular day. And there's boxes there too.

We have quite a few corn mazes around here. They have two versions, one for the lil' kids and one for the grown up kids. One year we took our Cadette GS to the haunted one where they chased you around the maze with a buzz saw. It was so much fun!!

Trick or treating at the mall was ok. Food at grandma's sucked but she enjoyed. And the haunted house was closed. Bust bust bust. But the kids enjoyed themselves and I enjoyed them so win win! Oh, and DH was nice too, lol!

Oh, and as for the mall, since when did it become acceptable for kids to not dress up at all and adults to collect candy with no kids??

Since the generation of "adults" who collect candy missed getting on the grownup train.
