Hi Ryan, the past day or so when I have used the "My Page" button on your nifty toolbar, I've been brought to the log in page, to enter my name/password. AQ used to log me in automatically and go straight to My Page.

????

thanks for your help,
MoonBunny

There was a post recently where Ryan said he made a change in the cookie setup for security reasons so you will have to log in and click the "save my password on this computer" option for the automatic logon to start happening again.

I hear so many here saying they are going to switch mediums without even giving it a try! Think about this. Everyone I have heard that has actually used the new color says it isn't bad and they have been fine using it. Some have even said they like the consistency a little better. I guess I don't get the "Oh that's it, I'm through" mentality sight unseen. Are we throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

Oh good, I've done my job then. Listen, sometimes it's not easy being blue in a red state and humor saves us all. Texas has a long tradition of eccentric politicians, odd celebrities, and quirky murderers. The Kinkster is the anti-politician, he's an off-beat semi-celebrity and he's written some pretty good, but quirky, murder mysteries. If that's not a recipe for success (esp. if we start with low expectations), I'm not sure what is. . .

The bumper stickers are great:
Why the Hell Not?
and
My Governor is a Jewish Cowboy
are two of my favorites.

I am not telling anyone what to do. But, if you don't vote in the primary and you are a Texas registered voter, you are eligible to sign my petition.

I have a solution for all those that do not like the new color of PZKut.

Please contact me off list so that I can send you my address. Merely package up the material and drop it in the mail and I will personally see that the dastardly stuff is properly disposed. I won't charge you a dang thing for this service.

Actually, I got to try it out at a gathering. I am sure I cannot stand it. My comments at least, do not come unfounded.

Quote Also, I will be driving north towards the gathering in Portland for the next couple of days and will not be online.

Ah, Portland, Oregon, a city in the northwestern United States halfway between the North Pole and the Equator that is only notable for being the birthplace of Sally Struthers.

Man, you guys! hahaha!! I anyone is going to pack up their carving medium and dispose of it "properly," the way to do that is to slap my address onto it and ship it on over! I'll gladly take it! Ain't tried it yet, but I'd love to. Orange is my very favorite color anyway. heeheee!!

No, I don't really know what I'm talking about and would like to see this stuff for myself to see what all the talk is about. I'll keep my eyes open.

I've been looking for a letterbox site for Belgium and it appears that there are several letterbox hybrids there. Anyway, here is a terrific example of a puzzle clue, although it isn't in English:

Being the strange sort of person that I am I would rather go into a store and buy my stuff instead of mail order. I can no longer get Mastercarve and my other choices are Speedystamp and Speedycut. Any opinions on these two?

I could either do that or I could just cut a square off and send it so you can carve it yourself to see how you like it. Just let me know.

I've done that - a couple of times - but still no luck. I seem to struggle with cookie-related issues, might be my browser.

Thanks, though!

Speedball Speedy Stamp is the "Pink Stuff" It is the favorite of many people. If you are used to the thick pieces of Mastercarve, it will take some getting used to--

I've carved on PZ-Cut before, I just can't imagine that neon orange. Maybe dvn2rckr has planted something new around here (WA) with the new neon stuff. Make sure you Camo the boxes really well! That NEON might leak out! :-)

I saw an orange stamp in a PLB last week - I have to assume it was PZKut since I haven't heard about anything else that's orange! It was bright but didn't seem too bad to me - I'd call it more "tangerine" than "neon." :-) But then again, I didn't carve the stamp! (I wish all it took was a little orange pzkut to make a stamp that beautiful!)

Nope, not guilty here. I haven't purchased any of the orange stuff and have only viewed it online. I can't imagine it's any worse than carving on the Pink Speedyball stuff, though. I originally had 10 sheets of the white stuff and then purchased the last 5 sheets of Grade B white they had--so I've currently 7 sheets of PZ-Kut laying around the house and very little time to do anything with it at the moment. ;)

The only other thought I have at the moment is maybe the cookie/privacy settings you are using with your browser won't allow it to save. For example, I am using Internet Explorer with "Medium-High" and it works but other browsers may have different options. Assuming that is your browser, you can check by clicking Tools/Internet Options/Privacy. I know Internet Explorer also has an override option which you could try as well.

It is also possible some kind of other security program is blocking it but since I don't have any I can't test for you...

Phillipa Gregory is fantastic. I haven't read Wideacre, but I have read her stuff based in England. I do like historical romances. Try The Virgin's Lover, The Other Boleyn Girl, and one more that I can't think of right now :)

No, alas. I won an award once, and I've had articles published in a local magazine, but none of my books sold. I have a bunch of published friend, though, and can name drop with the best of them, at least when it comes to romance novels!

I'm having the same trouble with the auto login. (I'm really just writing this for Ryan's reference for when he gets back.)

I'm using IE with security settings at Medium. I also tried setting AQ as a trusted site but I'm still having to log in every time I go to the site.

Not running any other security programs other than Norton Antivirus. No firewalls or anything like that.

FYI, Ryan...

Don't forget the I-70 HH Hostel in Lawrence, KS. A must see for any new letterboxers.
I'll be dropping off a very special HH soon, that needs to travel WEST, commemorating an historical event!
Please stop by this cool box!
Remember the only rule - proper re-hidation!

Well while I know computers, I don't do webpages so this will likely be my last thought on this one...

The only thing I have left other than something like duplicate cookies and other things I don't know enough about is that you may be getting a cached page even with the updated cookie.

You could either delete the cached files in Internet Options or do a forced refresh which is hold Ctrl and hit F5 at the same time (if I remember correctly).

Otherwise, I bow to the cookie maker Ryan unless someone has exciting new information that triggers a possible answer for me that I did not already mention.

Actually "j" in ASCII, "binary j", if you will.
I guess guy will fit fine if it matters. I don't feel old enough for sir.
I've always heard that on the internet nobody knows you're really a dog.
Maybe the same is true for letterboxing.
