Yes, that's fine. The trailname isn't that important, I just wanted to be able to thank everyone who participated.

Don't think of yourself as "elder" yet! 55 is NOT old! I'm just trying to get a variety of responses from people in all stages of mid to late life. If I limited my survey to those who were actually elderly I'm just not sure how many responses I would get.

According to a class I am taking:
65 = official definition of old age
65-74 = young old
75-84 = old
85+ = oldest old

So 55 isn't really old at all!

I did ask whether anyone has a disability or disease that has affected their ability to letterbox, because that is something that I have to address in my paper. I agree that there are definitely are still options in letterboxing for people with physical limitations. So maybe someone who has experienced a difficulty with an aspect of letterboxing will answer and explain how that has affected them.

Taking a break is good. It helps you figure out what part of the hobby you enjoy most and you can come back in your own time with renewed enthusiasm.

Throw it all in a shaker, add ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass. Or anything else that will hold liquid. (One's mouth?) I promise it's amazing.

St. Augustine box needs logbook

I got a message that says my Stealthboxer Skims letterbox, which is near the St. Augustine Lighthouse, is running out of pages. I would love to have the old one mailed to me, and I can send a replacement book. (I can send the book beforehand). I don't think there is room in the box for 2 logbooks.

Now I am realising how important it is to note the size of the logbook and box! But this is good news, my first full logbook! I'm wondering if everyone stamps the back sides of pages? But I know only about half the people log online.

Okay! She says there's a few pages left. And I bet a few spots here and there, could squeeze in. So it's probably ok for now.

I think what you're experiencing is normal. I have lost pets before, but just one I seem to still feel from time to time. And I lost him just before moving from FL. To this day I sometimes feel something brush against my ankle like he used to, yet there's never anything there. And I can feel something curl up to my side like he used to. He was never in the house I'm in now, 1000 miles away in fact. But I do still have his ashes. I fully intended to bury him in this home since the last place was a townhouse and it just didn't feel right. But apart from planting a weeping willow, I just can't seem to bring myself to bury him. I really wish I had the choice to have had him put to sleep, I would have had more time with him maybe. But I lost him while he was so young when he was only briefly in the care of a friend.

See, that's the worst thing about being old. I forget so easily. Now that you mention it I definitely remember that question. Now if I could just remember why I'm typing this response. Oh well!

It's doable. You can use Styrofoam plates or cleaned Styrofoam meat or veggie trays. A stylus with a ball on the end of it would work very well for making the marks on the foam. They may be called embossing tools, but I have a set for clay working. Search for "ball stylus for embossing" and it will show you a picture.

no you didn't - it came through twice.

although i can certainly understand it didn't look that way on your end. weirdness.

oh well, eventually, margie will settle down. i think she's just wandering around, enjoying her freedom, randomly flipping out on people, stalling email, throwing up pages and giggling whilst we all wonder what's happening. . .

*sigh* silly little yellow ball of fuzz. . .

I must be a bit slow... It took me just a bit longer then I think it should have. Had to go back through it a few times to get it right, well, as right as I could. Good luck with the results on the survey.

I have not been to an event in many years. My work schedule is such that I have a hard time getting to them. I will try to show if there is one close by. I bet if there is an event at Fontainbleau, I can be there even if i am working.
