Its perfectly fine to send bonus cards - they don't even have to fit the theme. Who's going to argue about get an extra card? I know I sure wouldn't!

Sometimes I've sent extras to just the host as well, just for doing all the leg work.

so, more information:

the best quisp makers are Jabber and FORAYCH. . . but you have to get into some sort of postal to get quisps from them.

For awhile I sent inchies with every card just for the heck of it.
Hey! I sent 3 cards with my last tracker! Two had the same name because I hated the first one, and so I made a new one. But then I was talked out of destroying the original one & instead I send the weird one, the one I liked, then a third just to keep the chaos from ending :)

Oh goodness, I love whimsy geeks!

I'm part of a big Tolkien site, and some of the posts that come up just make me giggle for hours.

I was scrolling down the main page and after refreshing, this story came in at the top:
http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2014/01/31/86592-mystery-artist-creates-gollum-installation-in-tree-at-a-queensland-park/

My first thought was: *squeeee* That's so cool!
My second was: Can I make a letterbox like that?

I must plot Letterbox world domination with my mother after she gets home. ;)

I have a relative in another state. Her animal preserve/ Bed and Breakfast would like a stamp, which I have made. If I prepare the whole box and ship it to her, is it ok that she is not a letterboxer? We would work out some location, like the main lobby, where one could simply ask for the box. It would not be safe for people to be wandering outside looking for a hidden box there, as it has large, dangerous beasts.

Would I still be the owner, even though I am nowhere nearby?

Of course, I have no idea if any boxers live in rural Indiana.

You would be the owner of the box, and you can ask her to plant it for you and send you the clues to post. If she is ok with planting, perhaps she would agree to perform maintenance on it for you. If you carved, boxed, provided the logbook, and listed it then it belongs to you! You can list her name as the planter, if she has a trail name. Thanks for planting! Even if it is in a rural place, people will come for it! :-)

I'm no longer as irritated. I heard the explanation from someone I respect and it's reasonable. I still think the council or whatever should get the money from somewhere other than the volunteers and I don't like the fact it was a surprise, but I'll pay my stinking $10 without griping too much. Thanks for the hugs and replies.

I'm curious what these are. I know what our large, dangerous beasts are. But I don't know what they would be in Indiana or wherever she lives???

Plus, you said it in a way that made me think of either crack addicts or the chupacabra. *LOL*
