every single person who cares about humanity, justice and democracy needs to take a stand. contacting your representatives by phone or email is just as important as attending a protest, and voting. make your voice heard. the world is watching and history is recording. there are two sides, and it is not political. it is right vs wrong. which side are you on?

I just called "Kat" my child's nanny at the time and told her the story! She was mesmerized and thought it was beautiful! Her box had an amazing journey.

I was having the same thing happen.
Several of my finds didn’t show up from LBNA (on app) in the AQsite log book
but it appears all my AQ from iso app have.
Sometime between May(ish) - July
They would show up green and found on my ISO phone app too but didn’t catalog to logbook as a find.
Didn’t know if you had found something out or if this was normal.
I had read the other reply about creating a “found” list and wondered if it worked for you.

You need to give your box a location in order for people to find it. You can to that by editing your letterbox and selecting location.

Well, you're not the owner of the fostered box. The owner is still the original owner. You're the foster parent, if you will.
why can't i record a check up on it?
You can! Record a find on it. AQ allows you to record more than one find on a box, and that won't change your find count. And if something has changed regarding the clue that you think is noteworthy, you can add an addendum.

no. it is not a fostered box. it is an adopted box and i am listed as the owner of said box. that is why there are two different tabs in your logbook. one for fostered one for adoptions. i am able to edit the clue without adding an addendum, but i cannot record a checkup.
in this case i do not want to record a find as i own the box. i want to, as an owner, record a checkup.

I see someone mentioned that it has no location.
There is also something off with the listing.....it says stamp #1.....???...... like there are more than one stamp? Or more than one box? Or I'm just misreading it? I know the clue says there will be more. It just looks strange somehow.
If there are other boxes to come and they are all in different places, you need to list each box individually.
Listing boxes can be tricky if you've never done it before. As can letterboxing. Research is very helpful before you jump into the deep end of the pool. Going out and looking for boxes can be helpful before you start planting them.
There's a glossary here on AQ, along with tutorials, Code of Conduct, About Letterboxing. Hover your cursor over Home.

Oops, I stand corrected. My bad! I looked up adopted letterbox in the glossary and got this:
So here is my latest guess: it could be that only planters can record an actual check-up on a box. If you’re merely the owner, maybe you cannot record a check-up.
By AQ standards, an adopted box is one in which the owner of the box is not also one of the planters of the box.

Hi JoyinDenison! I was just in your area a couple of weeks ago, and stamped in a couple of boxes. I noticed when I got home that you had placed a box. Maybe on my next trip I can find yours! Looking forward to seeing you at TALE!

Maybe you should bring this to Ryan's attention. I would think an owner (who has the main responsibility) should be able to log in a "check".

The work around is to edit the box and add a planter (hidden if desired) then a checkup is possible.

good idea!
on second thought, as i edit this, if i was listed as a planter then i could not record it as a find. i found it many years before i was asked to adopt it.

If you put a 'watch' on a traditional box, will you get notifications of finds, or only if something on the listing changes?

I may be wrong but I think Ryan said that recording a find is the same as recording a checkup (they are just labeled differently). Could you try recording a find and see what happens (you can always delete the find if it ends up being a "find" rather than maintenance)?

you could very well be correct. however, imho, an owner, in this case, should have just as much right as the planter.

recording a find is the same as recording a checkup
it is my understanding, tho i could be wrong, that recording it as a find takes off my first find. i am a stickler for my logbook being accurate. that and i did not "find" it this time around, i maintained it. i am the owner of the box. just seems logical to me that as an owner i should have the right to be able to do a checkup on the box and mark it as such. that and i think it holds much more weight than just a find. maybe not in areas that have a lot of boxes but around here, where there isn't so many, it does.

Maybe the last found date was changed, but it‘ll still count as a clue change because Atlas Quest doesn‘t know any better!
So, maybe a find would trigger a notice because the last found date changed?

In the database, a checkup and find are exactly the same thing. It's just semantics.
Basically, the term "checkup" was created so planters wouldn't be discouraged from recording a "find" on their own boxes (since, as the standard had always been, planters can't be "finders" on their own plants).
But basically, they are two different words for the same thing. One applies to planters (the "checkup") and one applies to everyone else (the "find").
You can record multiple finds/checkups on any box. It will only be counted once for counting purposes. (Unless you are a planter, in which case it won't be counted at all.)
If you are not a planter, just record another find. It won't change your first find. It won't change your find count. If you are a planter, record a checkup. Same thing--it won't remove your first checkup. It won't change your find count. And you'll have an accurate list of every time you visited a box.

According to her memoir, Noem was angry at her poorly trained puppy, so she dragged Cricket to a gravel pit and shot her in the face rather than trying to re-home her. Still angry, Noem then spotted her ill-tempered billy goat and dragged him the gravel pit and shot him.
