Description

This tracker is unlike any I've hosted before! <(:-D

In light of rising postal costs, I decided in 2013 to send out Christmas Postcards. The cost allowed me to send THREE cards, for the similar cost of TWO Christmas Cards, so...I did it! It was sooo much fun and received so well, that my thoughts went to designing a Christmas POSTCARD swap and....CHALLENGE, for next year!!

This challenge is ONLY for fun, but does have a fun twist, for those of you who'd like to take up the challenge!

Rules:
Your Christmas Postcard MUST:

have at least ONE hand carved image (more than one is ENCOURAGED, though;)
be mailable within the Continental United States with a postcard stamp (4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
be logged between November 1 - Christmas 2014, to qualify for the challenge
contain at least one AQ NUMBER on it (near each hand carved image)
be winter and/or Christmas related ;-D of course!

Please send ME, by November 15, 2014:

10 completed postcards (you will probably want to make MORE, to send to others outside this swap ;-) in a Traditional 5X7 Tracker Envelope (like we usually do Ltc swaps with) NOTE: Your postcards CAN be storebought (especially if they're unique to your state! :-D) or a hand carved image, of course!!!

5 Forever stamps (or $ to cover postage return cost)

** ONE EXTRA $1.00 bill for someone in this swap, to WIN, if they have the most logged Christmas POSTCARDS on atlasquest between November 1 & Christmas!
(I will send out $10 to the winner, after Christmas!
-----in other words, the WINNER will be sent $10 and any extra LTC's I receive to award them with!

Note: As the host, I am not eligible, of course, but I will be contributing at least $1.00, to the WINNER!!------
<(:-D

Depending upon how well this swap goes, and how much FUN WE CAN HAVE SENDING OUT LOGGABLE CHRISTMAS POSTCARDS, this may become a TRADITION that will continue!! What a fun way to reach out to all of those people you've met online and at events!!!

_____DON'T FORGET: Start asking for mailing addresses this year, so you have them on hand when it's Christmas POSTCARD sending time!! I save them in "My Notes" section, next to each trail name. ;-D

Please send a 5X7 envelope, COMPLETELY covered in clear tape with YOUR real name, trail name and address clearly visible on the front to and from. Cover the "to" area with an EASY to remove rip off label, with my name and address.

************ Note: Please cover the entire front half of your envelope with ONE layer of clear tape so when I pull it off (preferably from the backside), my address label, the cancelled postage and every COTTON PICKIN' TRACKING STICKER also comes off?! Ughhh! These sticker removals get very frustrating to try to remove from 10+envelopes EVERY single time. :-< Thank you for your diligence to make it easier on me!
If this continues to be a problem (removing tracking stickers, etc.), I am considering NOT to host anymore. It really is that frustrating. Thank you again for your consideration. ********

________________ Additional information added after December 2013:

NOTE: These Christmas POSTCARD trackers have inspired me!! SO I AM UPPING THE ANTY!!! Regardless of how many participants join these multiple trackers--the competition WITHIN each tracker will remain the $10 challenge AND I AM ADDING a GRAND PRIZE --$20 plus as many ltcs as I can gather!!! :-D.

In addition, after several participants inquired about sending MORE than 10 postcards (20-30), so that I as the host, I can distribute postcards within the OTHER related trackers, and I AM WILLING. If you send me 25 postcards, I will return 25 back to you. Depending upon how many people participate (or don't ;), some of those that are returned, may be your own. Please add additional postage money, as needed, both on your envelope, and within it. ;)

In other words, you will ONLY be guaranteed postcards from those in YOUR swap & as many as you send to me. ;). Since I am in 4 (so far! ;) Christmas POSTCARD SWAPS, there may be 4 different postcards from me, all with different images on the main side. ;-D

EXCITED for NEXT CHRISTMAS ALREADY AND...it's not even 2014 YET, as I write this! Ha!!
