2014 is the Chinese Year of the Horse. December 13 is National Day of the Horse. My family particularly loves horses....

I'm inviting anyone else who also loves horses... of any kind, to plant a horse-related stamp on this day. I think the way these themed ones go, is each box has the same name.... but they can be VERY different.

Yep, I realize it might be a little cold for some... but I think that's ok.... plant anywhere you like. Even an art museum would be a great location. Horse statues are popular in many city parks.... certain beer brands are represented with horses, horses pull sleighs in winter, horses fought in wars, etc. Plus if you look ahead of time for a location, all you have to do is plop it in place, no need to freeze too long.

When you get ready to list your box, please title like:

Horse of Another Carver: Black Stallion

This way everyone will know it was from the same event, but you can distinguish between them by name.

I just wanted to add: I don't mind if the box is planted plus or minus 3 days of the event. The more the merrier. But try to plant/list as close as possible.

Nov 22, 2014: hello!
I finally finished my carving today! I will work on an Ltc for it this week! My stamp is from a photo of my daughter when she was show jumping last year and her pony got a Grand Champion! I had carved a stamp of my son surfing at the beach a few years ago, and really loved that stamp. Finally, his sister has one of her, and she likes it!

Looking forward to planting in a park that has a public horse trail.
