Description

I am hosting a carving, logbook making, and rock making day at my house in La Habra.

Several people have inquired about how to make letterrocks, so now's your chance. I simply request you bring the container you wish to conceal inside the letterrock with you to the event. We will form the rocks and cover them with a coat of concrete. I figure if we do it early enough in the day, by the end of the day we could prime them or texture them as needed. Otherwise you will need to buy the spray texture on your own.

I am hoping for a potluck lunch, with everybody helping by bringing some food item and a drink of your choice.

The "stamp carving" and "logbook making" complete the new remaining elements so you guys can GET OUT AND PLANT! You can bring whatever carving material you want, carving time is your own.

Mar 3, 2012: Move the date?
So I have been asked if I can move the date to April 15th?

Any objections?

I working on planting a series everyone can go get while the rocks dry.

Also adult drinks will be available, any excuse to borrow my Dad's Daiquiri Whacker (Yes just like it sounds weed whacker converted to blender).

Mar 9, 2012: Bring a Logbook with lots of space
Looks like the new date worked for more people.

Folks have been sending me traveling event boxes, so bring lots of colored ink pads and a logbook with a lot of space.

I will be BBQing and it looks like Ratty is bringing Burgers with Lee bringing buns and cheese.
