Description

Mark & Sue Pepe, along with their good friends "Cardinal"...aka D&N, are going to be first time visitors to Chicago on this last weekend in September! They have a whole lot of sightseeing planned, but wanted an opportunity to meet all of you great "Great Lakers" and enjoy some deep dish pizza! We are planning on getting together for pizza and exchanges at the Giordano's on the corner of 22nd Street (Cermak) and Mannheim in Westchester, IL. Spend the day boxing on your own in the Chicago area, and then join us for an informal, low-key gathering at Giordano's.

Let's all hope our present Chicago weather holds out for the Pepe's visit! As mentioned, letterboxing will be done on your own before the pizza meet & greet. If anyone is wanting to connect with others during the day to box together, please post that desire.

If any of you have "Chicago Landmark" stamps hanging around and you are willing to share with Mark & Sue to commemorate their trip please feel free to bring them as table toppers. Other than that, we will have an event stamp. We primarily want this to be a social time to hang out together and exchange signature stamps with boxers we've not yet had the pleasure of meeting, and reconnect with old friends.

Sep 21, 2010: Stamp carvers!
Due to the number of attendees, we have been bumped to the downstairs quarters of Giordano's! This is a good thing! We will have the entire room to ourselves. If you need to be directed, tell them you are with the "Stamp Carvers Group" downstairs. Otherwise, head down the stairs to the left as soon as you come in the main doors.
Everyone will be on their own for ordering food & drinks. Keep in mind that if you are ordering deep dish pizza, you will want to put your order in right away as it takes 45 min. to prepare and possibly longer due to our big group. Looking forward to seeing all of you!
