Looked everywhere for the first box but it was nowhere to be found.
The third box 'Bird of Kells' was located in the position of the 2nd clue.
Didn't make it to box #3 so not sure what the status on that one is.
Beautiful hike on a beautiful day... possibly the last warm day of fall.
Thanks for the stamp Trail Feathers.

What a beautiful trail especially with all the fall colours. I was only able to find the second stamp, but there was a lot of leaf cover so that may have made other two boxes more difficult to find. I loved the old car. It reminded me of a story about people who abandoned the cars during the war, and never came back for them.

Really nice hike although we could only find 1 box today. Pretty sure from the clues it should have been the third box in the series however, we found it in the location of the second box. Not sure if someone has been moving them around but if anyone else has had recent success finding all of them we would love a little help :)

It was a long hike, perhaps better left for summer and not spring, but I loved every minute of it and the entire series. Just to note the second box (Irish Wolfhound) is missing it's logbook. There are a bunch of scrap pieces of paper in the container, but if someone is going to attempt this series it might be a good idea to bring an extra book along.

Only went looking for one letterbox in this series today as I was alone and didn't think it was wise to do a 5km hike alone. But it's a good thing I went to the first box: it was just sitting by itself at the top of the little hill - yikes! The contents were all fine and after stamping in, I put it back in the log with a number of stones on top to protect from critters. Will be back in the future for the other two boxes!

Wow, what wonderful carves. You outdid yourself this time. Being half welsh I appreciate the celt angle. Now If I can only find the bulldog... So yes I am going back. It was a lovely warm spring day for a hike. My son's Border collie mix loved it too.
The Trails have changed only slightly. So the clues still work. The only real change is for clue#3 there is no stile there now, just a Notice you cannot cross the fields. Then just follow the clue as read. Then when done just follow the blue trail out. Thanks again for a great day

Found this series on Canada day 2011. Didn’t realize I hadn’t logged it but I was still new to letterboxing at the time. I’m still impressed by the detailed carving. Thanks

This is another series I was determined to finish before I go west. I found the box easily... just where the clues said it would be (if you pay attention to the fact that the stile used to go across the fence at a different location). Someone had found the box just after my attempt last July, so the directions are still pretty clear.

This is a lovely walk through the woods... lots of up and downs. And great stamps to complete the day.

Now THIS is what letterboxing is all about! Scenic trail that was a bit of work, three great carves, solid clues, good hiding spots, and some wild raspberries to snack on along the way. Thanks for a great morning.
