There are no trespassing signs. However the sign was not posted on the trail so we ventured forward. Found what we believe to be the triple trunk tree but no box. Looks like this is no longer active?

The signs for no trespassing are still there, also we did not see pink on any tree at the start. We also took the hitchhiker, its on its way to Colorado.

As stated in the other comments, the trail is clearly marked "Posted No Tresspassing" with not one, but two signs so I did not venture in to find it. :(

many people find this box, but they leave very nice notes. we escaped the prolific bugs. :)

Loved the box, and especially the carve. He looks so happy, for a an alcoholic drug addict author. :)

I have a report that the box is now on private property. This was not the case when the box was hidden. Others have found the box without a problem. I do not live nearby, so I will check this out when I can.
