AddendumBe sure and get a map of the trails. Fostered/Clues revamped 4/23/23.

  1. 1 This Little Piggy #3
You will see a 1 foot tree stump in front of you. The first box is behind this stump. Be very cautious as this is really close to the trail and anyone around could see what you are doing. It's best to wait till no one is around for this box. Recover well. Now to continue to the next box turn left the way the arrow shows.

  1. 2 Little Miss Muffet #3
The #17 is now on a bench. Look to you left to see a second bench. When sitting on the second bench, look straight ahead to an oak tree. Box will be at the base.

  1. 3 Hush-a Bye Baby #3
Continue on the trail until you come to post #5. A bench with a cover is there. Sit on the bench and spy a 4 trunk dark tree across the trail. The box is hiding behind the odd trunk.

  1. 4 Big Bad Wolf #3
The next bench you will come to was donated by Mamie R Stafford and Kathleen and Tom Byrne. Sit on this bench and look straight across the trail to a close knee tree. Turn to 11 o’clock and take 20 steps to a fallen tree. The box is near the base on the right.

  1. 5 Pussycat, Pussycat #2
Keep on the trail. When you get where you can see the hanging bridge, go to the first sign. Turn around and walk back up the trail for 25 man steps. Go left off the trail for 15 steps. You should see some fallen trees. Between the 2 ends is a crevice where you will find Pussycat, Pussycat.

  1. 6 There was an Old Woman #3
When you get to the swinging bridge, cross it and turn right. Do not go left as the arrow points. Walk to the 3 benches and continue left along the trail until you come upon an arrow on your right with an E on the post. Go 2 more steps. Look left to a V shaped evergreen. On the left at the base of a multi trunked tree is where the box will be. You may continue on the trail until you get back to the Hanging Bridge or return the way you came (shorter).

Box #1 was buried under the 2nd fallen trunk, but was safe and dry. The tree is decomposing, so I moved the box to the very near by 2-trunked tree - which is shown in the picture - a tad further back and to the right. Behind the trunks and covered with bark and a limb. Great hiking trail.

Spent the morning at the Arboretum and found 5 of 7 boxes and a large venomous snake too! Found Box 1, 4, 5 and 6 - which are all in great shape. A few things have changed since this series was created, including the following: fee is now $4 for adults and $3 for students; Box 1: it's now a 1-trunked tree, the other trunks are on the ground. Box 2: sign #17 is now on a bench; found the 5-trunked tree but no box. Box 3: could not find a brushpile and there are several recent fallen trees. Box 4: the fallen tree is now just a pile of rotted wood; to find it: from the center of the bench go straight across the trail to a cedar tree, turn to 11'oclock and go 13 steps. Box 5: The 3 trunked tree will soon be a 2-trunked tree. Box 6: As described.

What a great day - by the time I got there the sun came out and the temperature rose. Even with the amount of rain we got last night, the trail was just fine. Lovely walk and thanks for inputting where texas passport #1 was located between the others. Very helpful!!

All of these boxes are alive and well as of 4/15/2011. There is a new one in the Arboretum called The Green Path. Check it out too.

Thanks for the stamps. We found Boxes 2,3 and 4 today (did not try for 5 and 6). Box 1 we did not find. 2 of the 3 boxes we found were 5-6 feet from their correct location. I believe a lot of water ran through here recently, as there was alot of trash accumulation in various spots.

This was a fun search and our kid(s) had fun, thanks for the great stamps! Unfortunately the toddlers got hungry and we didn't get all of them this time. Now we have a reason to go back. PS - it seemed that Box 1 and 2 may have had inkpads at one time since there was only one color on the stamp, but they were NOT in the boxes today.
