Sorry to report it looks like the box got wet some time ago. It seems to be dried out now, but looks like it had some mold. Also the stamp is broken in half, and only half remaining in the box. But I stamped twice to make it look whole. Great spot, but I think this needs some maintainance.

We found a box propt up in the tree roots in plain sight. Inside was a badly damaged logbook that was wet for an extended time. Much is illegible but several notes mentioned finding this LB when others were geocaching, and one that mentioned the stamp being gone. So I think it was a LB. There was also a small square pad of pink stamping ink. But also many trinkets as well. We looked around other trees but couldn't find any other container. It almost seemed like this LB was being used a geocache. We put the old logbook in a ziplock bag and added a little notebook, hoping it doesn't get taken as a geocache trinket. Also put it back exactly as we found it in case it really was the geocache.
