A couple of recent boxers checked thoroughly and felt below in sand, appears to be gone for sure.

Sounds as if this box is likely missing. I will try to go by here when I'm next in SF and check to see if it possibly dropped into sand below.

Beautiful carve and fun hide. Being stealth was hard, but patience and a spotter helped a ton! Our first find in a state other than Utah, it was fun to see all new letterboxer marks, also beautiful!

Great stamp and great location! Unfortunately despite being fairly covered by the metal, the box had taken on some water. Stamp is looking good but the book was pretty damp to I decided not to stamp in.

Gorgeous carve!

Wow, patience is the name of the game on this one
Had to wait out seniors doing Tai Chi and groups of campers coming and going. Had take out dim sum from the restaurant while waiting and waiting. Then finally able to grab it. The title of the box could be a title from an Amy Tan book. Very nice carve that took me to an area that I used to walk often when I worked in the Financial district.

I had found it before, but took some friends to show them and it was GONE!

What a beautiful image you carved! And what fun to find this box in a playground surrounded by lots of children...and not one of them paid any attention to me!
