Great spot! So glad we made the hike!

We dryed out the box, gave it new ziplocs and everything is good to go. The trail is rougher than we remember with more down trees to get around and a rugged section that must be due to wash out. But all is well and ready for the hunt.

Great carve. Box in great shape. Found under 1.5 years of leaves. The Natural Well is awesome. Well worth the 2.5 mile hike. 👍👍👍 Met a Madison County rescue guy there (nobody injured). He has been down inside the "well" 275 feet straight down. The cave system connects to the Huntsville downtown Big Spring park spring.

Great hike and carve and natural well. Amazing well, approx. 20 ft by 40 ft opening and 275 ft straight down. Lived here 53 years and did not know about it. Letterboxing will lead you to interesting places. Thanks.

Wow, we've lived here almost 30 years but didn't know anything about this Natural Well. The trails around it seem awfully rocky for cross country running.

The trail close to the well is pretty washed away.
