We've been wanting to come for a while (ok, maybe just me) to find this historical LB and rescheduled a day later due to hurricane predictions and it still was a little rainy, totally foggy, and lovely. We didn't get to see any views, but we did find a few letterboxes, including this one - the kids were tired, wet, cold, and hungry so we didn't linger or find all the boxes I wanted to, but it was a great belated birthday trip out! It was tricky to find for us, but we didn't give up and the orienteering clues actually helped us to find the actual spot once we were close. The box is in great shape and it was rainy when we found it so tried our best to keep it covered while stamping... a fun find! And rainy, cold, foggy days are empty - we saw only two others hiking!

Grateful this hidden treasure took us to an amazing place. The summit had a stiff breeze. But I felt like Julie Andrews in the sound of music singing "The hills are alive...". They were alive with bird song. Wish we could have lingered longer.

So very glad to find this historic letterbox with its perfectly designed replacement stamp. Had a glorious picnic here, too, with Mama Wolf! A great day.
