Grateful for the advice of previous boxers, the tree now stands alone, box is well hidden in it.

Thank goodness for box details left by other finders. There is only 1 locking tab left on the box. I put the entire box in a new baggie.

As another letterboxer mentioned, this cemetery has had a lot of area cleared to make room for new plots. The tree that is referenced in the directions has no greenery around it any longer, so the box is well hidden inside the tree. The box and stamp are in great shape.

Area around the box is in the process of being cleared of all brush. We found the box out in the open at the base of the double-trunked tree. In order to keep it from being discarded, we hid it in a hole in the smaller sister of the double-trunked tree.
