great idea!

We came out here last summer and the owner threw a fit. She was very rude to us about even showing up (it was around noon on a Friday) and basically told us we could come back that Monday and that was it. Very sad we missed out on these boxes.

missed a few. Great series. The river was pretty full but we liked the wire to help us over it.

Ran out of daylight, hopefully we'll get the rest before we leave this time!!!

-- #30 the original baggie disintegrated, and I didn't have my spare boxes with me! (shocking!). I doubled-bagged it and put rocks on top to try to keep critters away. If LauRN and I can get back out this fall I'll bring my full repair kit with me! #31 made us both LOL. Can't wait to see the rest!

Wow! What a great series. Having watched the movie a number of times (my husband is a huge fan), I remembered most of these rules. Thank you to all the carvers. Thank you Gollygee, for planting these.

Whew! That is a lot of boxes! A fun hike! We only turned up one tick, but the trail after the second "river" crossing is REALLY grown in and requires close attention to follow! I never saw any rivers today! Where the rivers should have been was just a walk across the rocks with a little trickle of a stream...

Box 24 had been broken. The end of the box is missing, but we added a second baggie to protect it. (I didn't have a spare with me today)

Box 26 "under the powerlines" was tough to find. There are no rocks that are mossy anymore. I left a big branch lying on the rocks. The basketball sized rock under the "Y" of the branch is covering the box.

Box 28 had fallen through the wall and was in a deep hole behind the fallen root structure. We tossed in some rocks so that it won't fall through again.
A challenging series, but fun! Thanks!

The rivers were just trickles but the trails were very overgrown. Several boxes/baggies are in dire need of repair. A very nice walk and funny series! It took us 3 1/4 hours!

Lots of ticks. Wear long pants and use bug spray.
