I'm beginning to wonder if Letterboxing is for me. On the day, I'm 4 finds for 8 attempts. The area has changed so much since this one has been placed. I spent quite a bit of time attempting to trace this one, but there is simply nothing that I could see in the area within the specified steps. The area is quite open with little places to hide a letterbox.
Many thanks for placing this one, but its most likely gone many years ago. At least, that is what I believe after attempting it today.

After a few wrong turns, an accidental find of another letterbox as well as a geocache, we finally managed to find this treasure. Awesome stamp!...be sure to apply a lot of pressure when stamping.

Very nice carve.

Really enjoyed the arboretum, and the subject matter made me laugh - ESPECIALLY when it was accidentally stamped in my book UPSIDE DOWN...woefully appropriate, don't you think? Thanks for the fun!

Never has the meaning of `north`been debated so fiercely. We took a few tries to find the right bench, and from there it was pretty easy. A nice stamp, and for our efforts we also got a glimpse at a winter wedding nearby.

Like Lone R before us, it took us a few tries to find the right bench but after that everything fell into place. We took several impressions using markers and stamp pads to see what worked best. This was a fun box...I enjoyed solving the clue ;)

A beautiful sunny afternoon to be out in the arboretum went to wrong way at first. Once I found the correct bench the clues fell in line. Took an HH left an HH. Interesting to print from a linoleum carve - I inked up and placed cardstock face down on the block and rubbed. Got a decent impression. Thanks BA for the letterbox. :)

Lots of fine detail on this stamp! We practised on a sheet of paper, and I think we'll come back another time with some pigment ink for a better impression.
There were lots of people out in the Arboretum in spite of the cold. The water was still bubbling in the formal fountains! Thanks for a fun winter plant.
