We forgot we found this already when it was first planted. So we went looking again. There was a lot of debris and looks like fresh mulch. So, we looked but didn't find it, but it could be there and we missed it.

This is such a beautiful downtown area. Thanks!

Buried under 6 inches of mulch. It's right under it now

Very nice little stamp. Good one for the kids to find on their own.

My sister has checked the park for the last week, and the issue seems to be resolved. The box will remain where it is. Of course, use caution and be mindful of your surroundings just in case.

Nice stamp. Wonderful day to go letterboxing. Looked like a homless hangout with coats, blankets and sweaters on most of the benches and gazebo.

I've asked my sister (who lives in Victoria) to check on the park over the course of the next week and see if this is an ongoing issue - it was not when we planted last week. In the mean time, please use caution going after this box, and employ a buddy system to be on the safe side. Will update status next week (first week of January) if my sister has determined that it's an ongoing issue and safety concern (if it is, she'll be pulling the box for a short time).
