Box Comments

Nice day to walk around in High Park, but wasn't a great day for finding letterboxes. Did a 10k walking loop around the park. Arrived with a long list of clues and left without a single find. This is the only box where I felt I was even close to the right spot. I think the clues need updating if any of the boxes are even still there, a lot of the reference points may have changed or gone missing

Nice carve! The birdhouse is on the ground next to the tree, but if you follow the clues you can still find it fine!

Beautiful stamp found on a beautiful spring day! Box is in great condition. Had a lot of trouble finding this one since there is no longer a bird house in the tree, and there is a birdhouse in another tree further up the path.

Great stamp! The struggle to find it was well worth it!

Still right where it should be and in pretty good shape. Glad to be able to still pick up these older stamps. Thanks :)

A great testament to Toronto's diversity! Wish I'd read the others comments before going, might have prevented the noggin' bumping... :)

I was visiting High Park to enjoy the cherry blossoms and decided to grab this box while I was in the vicinity. Since we were down nearer the pond, I decided to try starting at the other end of the trail and keep my eyes open for landmarks.

It turns out that there are a lot of dead trees with birdhouses down here. And they did a controlled burn of the area a couple of weeks back, so there are more black logs than you can imagine.

I followed a lot of bad leads and looked under a lot of wrong logs until I eventually found myself back near the trailhead where I should have started. And of course, from there I was able to figure out the clues in about four seconds.

And a nice stamp -- it reminds me of my old stomping grounds from my younger days.

Yes, 3rd time's a charm. I was going too far the other 2 times. Walked right past it TWICE!

Tried last weekend and again today and no box found. I took pictures of the logs, incase someone wants to make sure I was in the right spot. Got bit by ants, covered in burrs (which I was still picking off my sweater later this afternoon) and to top it off, I bumped my noggin on the overhang while I was leaving.
