what a beautiful location on a sunny, fall day! we questioned some gardeners and they identified fall crocuses. we have to get some in our garden!

Great set of clues. I actually am one of those gardeners and appreciate all the nice comments about the Botanical Gardens.
To answer Lone R's question about the plant, I know it is going back a while, but if they had yellow flowers it sounds like the Cup Plant, Which is a prairie garden plant.
